The cerebral bore is pretty cool! I think there's a similar weapon in another old school FPS; theyre a cool reference to the orbs from the Phantasm horror movies, which basically do the same thing, drilling into the target's head and spurting out blood. Pretty grisly but cool to see used on the villains.
