Here's another tip - if you don't have a good area to "wild collect" rocks, try to find a local garden nursery/landscaping store and ask to buy a few rocks from them. I got a nice little pile of flat, thin slate rocks (perfect for stacking!) for $5. Obviously, the more rocks you buy, the more expensive, but I find that garden stores/landscaping supply stores are a great place to buy non-bulk quantities of rock for a cheap price.
I live in Israel, so sourcing materials is a real challenge. Most companies don't even ship here. The hobby is super small, and our whitelist is less than two pages long. Fortunately, we get really hot weather for about 10 months out of the year, so my beardie will be getting lots of outdoor time. I'm working on an outdoor enclosure can hang out from my apartment window in full sun.

I just bought a juvenile dragon, and the guy at PetSmart sold me a 40-gallon starter kit. You gave some great information, I already feel like I'll have to upgrade her tank soon. Thanks for the video.
Great channel to follow learned allot of stuff from the chief. A 40 gallon is good for roughly the first 6 months of the dragons life. 4x2x2 is perfect for them but the 40 will last while you get the other stuff and get it set up

BUT, I've looked into it, and getting PVC pannels for a DIY build is plausible. Maybe a video idea for the future? Keep up the great work!

Hi! I hope your day has been amazing! This video was a pretty good starting point for me and I can't wait to watch your other Beardie guides! I've made note of Arcadia UVB and Halogens heaters, I just need to know how many heaters I need (whether its one or two heaters😅) and a good brand of LED lights for a 4x2x2 Vivarium!
Just a question, my vet says that beardie scan not pass the substrate I have in his inclosure (75% dirt, 25% sand) is that fully true as I looked it up online and it said it was not true?

@ChiefSweetsUniverse I just bought a Red Monster Beardy, he’s 4 months old. The breeder said a 75 gallon would be fine but I don’t know if I should just buy the 120 gallon tank
Hi Chief, love your videos! I know it’s not related to beardies, but I have a leopard gecko and wanted to know a good suggestion to make some natural hides. Could I do the same as in this video, stack some rocks?

Hey, I’ve been binging your videos, love them! I have a few questions. We’re adopting an 8 year old bearded dragon very soon. He’s been with the same owner all that time. The owner was showing me his routines and he showed a red bulb that he turns on at night. From your videos I’ve seen they don’t need lights at night and definitely no red bulb. This beardie has been living that way for 8 years, is it okay to switch what he’s use to or should I keep doing the same. I also am not sure they are using UVB so I’ll definitely add that. Same with vitamins and calcium. They also said they feed him worms once a week, 15 at a time and then pellets and veg a few other days a week. Do you have recommendations for feeding adult/senior dragon. We can’t get Dubia roaches here. Thanks!
I have a question, am I able to put a couple week old to a few month old bearded dragon on Jurassic Australian sand mixed with Escalator clay? I was told it might be dangerous and I've seen where you've had a baby beardy and wanted your advice. I wasn't going to do anything till I'm 1000% sure lol
So I have ordered the day and night heat lamp. Do you not do that at night? We're about to get our beardie. I got a tank off marketplace with everything but the bulbs
What do you do with the adult dubias you don't use? I have a adult Crested, he can't eat large ones. I can't really do anything with them. I started a colony by the way when I first got him.

Yes they are safe. Home Depot got rid of bad pesticides years ago now they only use plant based pesticide you can wash the entire plant off under water and replace the soil and you are good to go.

My sons grandfather built me a 4×2×2 enclosure. However he has the entire roof part of it enclosed with the lighting fixtures inside. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to modify it. It doesn't look safe to me. The basking lighting will be on the inside completely enclosed. I'm gonna have to cut half the top off I think.
