I thank all artists, producers, and teams involved in creating these wonderful songs I’ve selected for this mix. I thank everyone who came and stayed to listen to this mix of a beautiful genre we know as Soulful House Music. Much love and take care!
Hey, musical soul. Your heart beets in a beautiful vibration. Are you an musician also ( I see a pianist inside you )? You are a rare kind of DJ. Stay in your divine center.
Thank you! 🙏🏾
NYC the birth place of house music.
Chicago gets the credit for birth place of House Music. The history of House music started with racism against blacks during "Disco Demolition Night" (The burning of Disco records late 70's in a Chicago stadium which actuality was burning black artist records that became the fuel that sparked the creation of House Music.) Frankie Knuckles "The God Father of House Music" was the resident DJ at an underground after hours venue in Chicago from 1977-1982 called "The Warehouse". This venue is where people heard Frankie's style of music and mixing which was a mixture of Soul records (early R&B, gospel influence vocal tracks), Disco records (constant 4 to the floor up beat rhythm done with live instrumentation elements), Electronic music (synth based instrumentation, New Wave flavors Euro tracks) mixed with his extensions /edits he made on reel to reel was incorporated into his sets at The Warehouse to keep the energy going. THANKFULLY Frankie's live mixes were recorded on cassette at the venue and fellow Chicagoans who received a copy these mixes dubbed these tapes and shared with others and those people made a dub of the dub and shared and so forth to the point these mixes spread outside the state. These mixes started to be known as "House Music" which originated from, drum roll... The Warehouse where Frankie Knuckles played. That's where the birth of house began. Frankie Knuckles did develop his skills of DJing through Larry Laven in NYC at a venue called the Bath House located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan NYC but left to go to Chicago for a resident offer at the Wearehouse. Chicago also where the very first house record pressing was made which was Jesse Saunders track titled On & On. NYC at the time had influence but it was Chicago that had the right recipe to develop this genre we call House Music into existence. Much love William! ♥
Wow thank you for that insight but if it wasn’t for the foundation of what you call house music in the paradise garage with Larry, Frankie would have never learned those skills to bring to Chicago. To me if it wasn’t for NYC house would have never developed in Chicago.
Anyway thank you for you insight and knowledge of the music. I have learned something today.

This music is too lit to do what you are doing. You are are not playing hip hop bro.
I intentionally incorporate a variety of mixing styles into my sets to add emphasis on certain parts or change the feel to something completely different than what is considered usual. Thanks for listening to the mix!
