i make this the same with the maple syrup. it’s expensive but it’s tastes so awesome. to the sugar syrup mixture i also add some cinamon, vanilla, i use makers mark in mine. i also add about two tablespoons of molasses and about a teaspoon of sea salt. it tastes savory and super sweet with the egg. awww man. my mouth is watering thinking about it.
If you didn’t know, you made history that will last forever. Thank you, Daddy Jack. You’ll be forever missed. Edit- Thank you for sharing your tips and tricks. Every time I cook I think about you, straight up.

Girls your Dad was so cool...I'll never tire watching his videos. I regret not having the opportunity to meet him in person, I'm very sorry he'd not with us but he's left so much of himself. I miss him!
Glad to see Bob Jacko is using a fill light. made a difference. Chaplin looks better- he has personality and a special honesty some of the "perfectionists' in this business lack. I was trained in Europe and some of those teachers of French cuisine had their noses so high in the air I was surprised they could breathe. Nice homey show with conviction and family friendliness. great tips and secrets too.
150-0! Daddy Jack I’m appalled 😮 How DARE you pour Bourbon into a dish without taking a shot if it first! 💯😂👍🏻 I didn’t watch to the end- Bonus Lucy segment! Everyone looks so happy. Well done
Found you a short while ago and love you’re style. Having watched far too many chefs I can honestly say if I was to be taught the art of cooking I think you would be best guy to do it . Hope you still trading and shooting honest videos.
@@HealthHorrorf I cube a half stick I get about what he has. I also looked at other recipes and half a stick seems the norm. Also, 1/2 cup of butter is 1/8th of a pound of butter. Remember, he also said he was adding brandy and meant bourbon. 😊
Ay caramba...as the Spanish would say if something is amazing. I love pecan pie more than any other kind (sorry you apple freaks). I have informed my wife that she will make this recipe for our next family Thanksgiving feast. She fully agrees.
I looked into this and it seems he meant an 8th of a lb of butter or 1/2 cup. Looks to be accurate by comparing other recipes online. It also looks to be what I get when I cube half a stick of butter.
Love this channel but hate to see people ruin perfectly good desserts by adding chocolate, such as with chocolate crème brûlée and rice krispie treats with chocolate chips.
A pee-can is something your great granddaddy kept under the bed to keep from gettin' snake bit going to the outhouse in the middle of the night... 😜 You cook the pie till its done 🤣 Pecan pie takes 45-75 minutes. Start checking @40mins. When it stops jigglin' it's done.
If I do, you'll be the first to know Rob! Thanks for watching the channel. This is one of my favorite pie recipes! *Become a Member Of "Cooking With The Blues" www.patreon.com/CookingWithTheBlues For Blackened Seasoning, CD and other Memorabilia visit: www.daddyjacksnewlondon.com

Bonjour. C'est un merveilleux dessert. Merci d'avoir regardé la chaîne.
Omg i would love to try this !
Nice place 👌
Thank you, the maple syrup sold me.
1/8th of a stick of butter...haha
It was a full stick right?
This is what confused me too. Does he think a stick is an entire box of butter?

Legend
MY take Trader joes has an excellent frozen pie dough. 2 in a package. The others are too thin, I use them for butter tarts.
Never trust a skinny cook. I wholeheartedly trust this guy.
makes pizza dough literally all the time , "I don't like making pie crusts" LOL! classic! rest up JACK , I hope you're with the Lord.
Awesome video. I felt like I was in my uncles kitchen. Had a personal feeling. Not rehearse. Get you a tv show me.

Brandy or bourbon ?
What kind of dark chocolate do you use?
No Black n Seasoning?
Morgan is gorgeous, sweet daughter
How much butter is this? Looks like an entire stick of butter!?
Looks like a lot more than 1/8th of a stick of butter, aka one tablespoon.
I looked into this and it seems he meant an 8th of a lb of butter or 1/2 cup. Looks to be accurate by comparing other recipes online. It also looks to be what I get when I cube half a stick of butter.
your daughters are beautiful
I never made pecan pie...but,I'd like to try this recipe.
Can I use frozen store bought deep dish pie shell?
That guy is a giant 😆
Awesome video. I felt like I was in my uncles kitchen. Had a personal feeling. Not rehearse. Get you a tv shoe.
