Ice Cream Van Spotting

HOLY CRAP! the ice cream van finally came down my street. it only comes down my neighborhood once maybe every 3 years. i was just chillin on the computer and i heard the jingle from blocks away and was like that sounds familiar so i whipped out my trusty cam just in time. NOTE: little Ben down the street in a trans as it passes by lol.

It works... I look every time.

No. Similar... but not very similar. The ice cream truck song is much more complex and has an entire chorus section that's missing from the Spongebob song. Nor are the verse sections the same, just similar. My guess is, the Spongebob song was "inspired by" (read, "plagiarized from") the original... whatever the original is. I haven't be able to identify it, but I've ascertained that ice cream trucks have been playing it at least as far back as 2007.
