I think your opinion is on the right track about the NIL. If a sub standard "employee" that doesn't produce top results wants a raise, you can't give into that and run off the good employees who produce top results. A few of the transfers hurt. Some of them are completely replaceable.
😂😂😂 the problem is in the last 5 years we only had 2-3 handfuls of actual good players transfer out to power conference schools where they could make the same or more in NiL all 100+ transferred out to group of 5 schools and smaller taking less NiL. Meanwhile coach am pitiful is giving big money to guys like Landon Jackson who didn't deserve the amount of money he was given the biggest problem is the NiL money isn't being given to the good players it's giving to simple Sam's buddies.
Pittman laid it out pretty clearly the other day. Players are demanding too much money that eat into there overall budget. If they were to say yes to every player that wanted a significantly higher salary then we wouldn’t have any money left to fill in the rest of the gaps we need for the team.
this is wrong, sam did say this but he also said money isnt an issue, arkansas was 17th nationally in NIL spending and 11th in the SEC in NIL spending. its their willingness to tell kids "go get your bag elsewhere" as opposed to paying them. arkansas has the money to go get it, a top 20 NIL program in the country is a good thing, not wanting to use it is another.
@ money isn’t an issue up to a certain point. Was what he was saying. We have money yes but that doesn’t mean we have to be irresponsible with it cause it does run out.
