I cannot believe and an economist thinks that an increase in income by $30,000 a year implies you can pay off a $50,000 debt in two years. (If you have a spouse and two children, that is $200,000.) Mr. Nobel prize winner, the cost of living in a rich country is also higher. Only 39% of Americans have enough savings to cover a $1,000 emergency.
He is implying the immigrant working an IT job will INCREASE his/her base income by $30,000 each year for two years. Applying that increase to repaying to $50,000 debt will pay off the debt in 2 years. That increase in base pay was not unrealistic at the time of this lecture.
@@sonjak8265 they will. but if you impose to tough conditions on host societies then immigrants won't be able to be there in the first place. this is a pro immigrant solution. the alternative we see unfolding in Europe and America in form of Trump etc
