I love BunBun but I have to say I genuinely didn't know he was a character in the world of Katnipp until this video 😅 I think he's incredibly adorable and i love how squishy and cute he is! All I could think about is how cute and tiny his ears are and I'm wondering if all rabbits in this world have tiny ears or if he's different, maybe he's shy about how tiny his ears are. (it would make him a lot more endearing to me if this were the case ngl) I think a great solution to try is to incorporate him into more scenes with other characters and show his relation to everyone. Bumblebutt, Pudding, Gingy, Marshie, etc all get so much spotlight and they also interact so much more with each other; it would be fun to see how BunBun interacts with them too! 💖
Bunbun is adorable. I see some spring or garden associated stickers too! A lot of people have gotten more into gardening since covid. Maybe expand on the garden stamps with BunBun so the character doesn't seem easter only?

I think the overwhelming misspelling of Bonbun's name in the comments is very telling. 😅 I had no idea that he's Bumblebutt's best friend. I think he's just missing a little more backstory and character that people can relate to. The illustrations of him gardening are lovely, it would be great to push that. He could be a lovely advocate for recycling, caring for the earth, eco-friendliness etc. I think it could be also cute to create a line of 'best friend' products with Bumblebutt and Bonbun together.

Really enjoy the behind the scenes vids. The filming of the filming was fun and interesting to see and gave great insight into how much goes into the marketing for a small biz. I'm glad I'm not the only one that does concentration faces! Have a good trip.

I love rabbits and since I was a kid everyone would give me rabbit ornaments and stuffed animals. What started it was the stuffed rabbit I was given when my brother was born. I named her Bun Bun so your Bub Bun brings back that memory! (I still have mine❤)

It's probably just a marketing thing. Watching this, I was just reminded about Bonbun. So it was an out of sight , out of mind situation. Maybe bring him up more? I agree with having a Get To Know segment specifically for each character. Bonbun is very cute and I can tell he is a Bunny, he just need to be in the spot light more often.
I think the problem with Bun Bun is that he's too solemn in his expressions. He just slightly smiles and nothing else, plus their's something off with how tiny his face is on his massive head and I love the size of him. Plus he screams Easter instead of Spring and I did not get that he and Bumble butt are friends, we never see them together. I hope this helps

I feel like it’s pretty often that I have a design I just love, and yet others prefer a design I don’t think is nearly as good lol! Or I’ll put loads of time into something perfecting it and feeling awesome about it and a simple, less complicated design gets the attention 😂 Bonbun is not very appealing to me as a character, I don’t think he is as cute as your others. I might prefer him less anthropomorphic, because I like characters like Peppamint and Puddin the most. But now that he has gotten a lil spotlight I bet he will find his fan base 😊

maybe you should do mystery character packs. where you do maybe enamel pin, sticker sheet or pack or maybe different tiers so it could be some more expensive items like the tote bags.
Hi Catherine. Just one thought I had about BonBun (although I love him) could be that people who are really into rabbits will know that carrots are actually really bad for bunnies. If these people are part of your target market then that could be one reason why he's not selling as well as he could because bunny people won't want to promote giving carrots to rabbits (although I know his carrot is a bag and he's not eating it). Anyway, was just a thought I had while watching so thought I'd add it to the comments here. Hope New York was amazing!!! xx

My Etsy shop actually got shut down due to a copyright from selling Pop Socket style phone grips. Even though they were my own design, the actual mechanism is patented.

I would like to comment on Bon bun. Bear-bunny is the one I tried to like, but ended up not (sorry Bon bun). Just clarifying at this point, this is really just my personal feeling (so not even an opinion). I respect your work and I do appreciate and love so many of your characters. I feel he is a little off in terms of cuteness compared to the other characters. In a way he appears older and I couldn't read him, as to how much he is an animal (e.g. the cats, or pudding), or a person (like gingie, or marshie). Also, I didn't know how he ties into the universe (similar to Froggo and bear, I thought this was experimental). Maybe posting his background story will do the trick in respect to character type and connections. How about his family? Imagine a bunch of bear bunnies with different sizes of ears, paws, tails. It could be so fun 😍Fingers crossed, I would love you to succeed with all your work xx

I like Bonbun and still think he’s cute so I feel awful saying this - I think maybe there’s something a little too ‘human’ looking about his face that can be a little bit creepy. Bless him, I have warmed to him hearing that he’s unpopular and so have a soft spot for him now🥲 i kinda imagine him to be going against the rabbit stereotype and being quite solitary, not caring about being popular and being the introvert to Bumblebutt’s extrovert in their friendship 💕 I think he would look so cute with a smaller body (still chubby though) so that his carrot backpack looked huge on him 🥺🥺 It would be nice to get to know his character better - such as a reel or sticker set about ‘what’s in this backpack’
Maybe another way to market would be to make gifs like a cartoon artist has milk and mocha and makes small cartoon strips and they have gifs... showing the relationship between your characters would help the sellability of bun bun .... I dunno if the added work load would be worth it 🤷♀️
When you mention Bonbun my first thought was who’s Bonbun? I recognised the character when you showed the images on the wall but that pin badge doesn’t look familiar at all so maybe a marketing issue or it’s just been a long time since you last mentioned him. I feel like everyone will recognise Bumble butt and Gingie because they get mentioned the most often.
Bun and bee need to go on an adventure together. I think maybe Baylee Jae has the bun bun market sewn up. But prob your bun just needs marketing for Easter, egg hunting with bumble butt

When I was browsing through your etsy lately I've been thinking about why I don't want the BobBon items that much even though I am SUPER into Bunnies, especially white Bunnies. It really might be because he is so giant and bear like. And also with the bow and blushed cheeks and the round nose and the fact that he has eyebrows, he also has a little bit clown vibes? Which makes him sound super ugly which he is not!! Just not really flattering for a cute little bunny maybe. Thats my thoughts on why he doesn't charm me personally 🥺

I feel like it’s pretty often that I have a design I just love, and yet others prefer a design I don’t think is nearly as good lol! Or I’ll put loads of time into something perfecting it and feeling awesome about it and a simple, less complicated design gets the attention 😂
Bonbun is not very appealing to me as a character, I don’t think he is as cute as your others. I might prefer him less anthropomorphic, because I like characters like Peppamint and Puddin the most. But now that he has gotten a lil spotlight I bet he will find his fan base 😊

I have the exact same problem with my paintings and art prints. The ones I’m crazy about get ignored 😂. maybe you should do mystery character packs. where you do maybe enamel pin, sticker sheet or pack or maybe different tiers so it could be some more expensive items like the tote bags.

Hi Catherine. Just one thought I had about BonBun (although I love him) could be that people who are really into rabbits will know that carrots are actually really bad for bunnies. If these people are part of your target market then that could be one reason why he's not selling as well as he could because bunny people won't want to promote giving carrots to rabbits (although I know his carrot is a bag and he's not eating it). Anyway, was just a thought I had while watching so thought I'd add it to the comments here. Hope New York was amazing!!! xx

Hi! You probably already know this, but in case you don't, not only is the name 'Pop Socket' patented, but the actually design/mechanism of the Pop Socket Phone Grip is. My Etsy shop actually got shut down due to a copyright from selling Pop Socket style phone grips. Even though they were my own design, the actual mechanism is patented.

I would like to comment on Bon bun. Bear-bunny is the one I tried to like, but ended up not (sorry Bon bun). Just clarifying at this point, this is really just my personal feeling (so not even an opinion). I respect your work and I do appreciate and love so many of your characters. I feel he is a little off in terms of cuteness compared to the other characters. In a way he appears older and I couldn't read him, as to how much he is an animal (e.g. the cats, or pudding), or a person (like gingie, or marshie). Also, I didn't know how he ties into the universe (similar to Froggo and bear, I thought this was experimental). Maybe posting his background story will do the trick in respect to character type and connections. How about his family? Imagine a bunch of bear bunnies with different sizes of ears, paws, tails. It could be so fun 😍Fingers crossed, I would love you to succeed with all your work xx

I like Bonbun and still think he’s cute so I feel awful saying this - I think maybe there’s something a little too ‘human’ looking about his face that can be a little bit creepy. Bless him, I have warmed to him hearing that he’s unpopular and so have a soft spot for him now🥲 i kinda imagine him to be going against the rabbit stereotype and being quite solitary, not caring about being popular and being the introvert to Bumblebutt’s extrovert in their friendship 💕 I think he would look so cute with a smaller body (still chubby though) so that his carrot backpack looked huge on him 🥺🥺
It would be nice to get to know his character better - such as a reel or sticker set about ‘what’s in this backpack’
Maybe another way to market would be to make gifs like a cartoon artist has milk and mocha and makes small cartoon strips and they have gifs... showing the relationship between your characters would help the sellability of bun bun .... I dunno if the added work load would be worth it 🤷♀️

When you mention Bonbun my first thought was who’s Bonbun? I recognised the character when you showed the images on the wall but that pin badge doesn’t look familiar at all so maybe a marketing issue or it’s just been a long time since you last mentioned him. I feel like everyone will recognise Bumble butt and Gingie because they get mentioned the most often.
Bun and bee need to go on an adventure together. I think maybe Baylee Jae has the bun bun market sewn up. But prob your bun just needs marketing for Easter, egg hunting with bumble butt

When I was browsing through your etsy lately I've been thinking about why I don't want the BobBon items that much even though I am SUPER into Bunnies, especially white Bunnies. It really might be because he is so giant and bear like. And also with the bow and blushed cheeks and the round nose and the fact that he has eyebrows, he also has a little bit clown vibes? Which makes him sound super ugly which he is not!! Just not really flattering for a cute little bunny maybe. Thats my thoughts on why he doesn't charm me personally 🥺
would it maybe be a smart idea to make the next collection a little smaller so you can take more time for it and catch up on all the random things? (including marketing those items that didn't sell well)
