Fishing High Falls State Park (Multi-Species!)

- We headed to High Falls State Park in Jackson, GA to do a little fishing and it did not disappoint. The falls were beautiful, and the fish were biting. Look forward to going back soon.

That last little bass was definitely different........could it have been a juvenile shoal bass...even though it didn't have the vertical bars! heck, maybe a crossbreed between two different types of bass.........lot of yellow on that fish.
I’m not very knowledgeable on my bass species but did look very yellow to me too. Fun nonetheless!
@@G2GO_outdoors I live close to this park, the river section is part of the Towaliga river so there are definitely some shoalies in there and they like hanging out near the more choppy aerated water.

I’ve had this place on my list for a while. Seeing your video has definitely bumped it up on the list. I drove through your neck of the woods yesterday afternoon on my way back to Atlanta from Jacksonville.
I’ve seen the sign on I-75 fir years but never stopped. It’s definitely worth the visit!

We hava alot of red eye bass up here in north west Georgia some call them cossa bass. There alot of varities Georgia. I am sure what you are in. God bless you and your family....🙏❤🙏❤🙏😀🙂😊
That last one I caught was definitely something a little different. A fun trip nonetheless
Yes you can catch big bass there, if you go down to the last water fall, I've caught a 4½ pound shoal bass and 5 to 6 pound striped bass!

Thanks, keep an eye on how much water the high falls dam is releasing, I went earlier this year and couldn’t fish due to the amounts of water
I live bout 5 miles West of High Falls .
I watched a fella wade at the base of the falls & pulled an 8 pound large mouth with a fly rod . That’s was some years back .
Wow, that’s a heck of a bass. Maybe next time I’ll bring some heavier tackle!
That looks like a pretty good spot! I've been in Georgia for about 3 years (moved here from NW Florida, fishing saltwater) and haven't done much fishing, I need to get out and explore
Georgia has some great fishing opportunities with a good variety. I’m thinking about trying the bass slam this year.
@@G2GO_outdoors I want to branch out and explore the fishing.. as soon as turkey season ends I will probably try to scout some spots. I'm in Canton and have been told about a couple spots to try

There's lots of 5 + lb fish in that river caught 4 over 4 today and 2 stripers
