    Just been back from Gold coast to Sydney driving a Sportage hire vehicle, I'm pleased with how the car performs. It's got slik design inside and out, drives well on both city and highway road, very quiet inside the cabin, got all the necessary gears that you may need while driving like lane assist. I think Korean make very good cars now, it's qite on par to its Japanese and European competitors in almost all aspects.

    Can someone explain why the Kia Sportage is the only vehicle I repeatedly see on UK roads at dusk or dark with the front lights fully on and the rear lights off. Even when it is totally dark, I see no rear lights on. Not every Sportage, but quite a lot of them - maybe 5 or 6 in every 10. This is a dangerous design fault and needs to be looked into.

    Si is the best deal, you can get the front sensors put in for free, or for a couple of hundred bucks. Who needs The Sat nav if you have apple car play and Android auto? So you are basically paying four grand more for a one inch bigger touch screen and a better sound system? Not worth it in my opinion. I bought a 2019 Si with 1800 km, front sensors included, for AUD 27,300. That’s the sweet spot, the best price ! Great review of an excellent car, good job guys, keep up the good work !

    Does Australia not get the 2L turbo petrol engine in this?

    • @BRRRRMAustralia
      @BRRRRMAustralia  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Blake - unfortunately we don't in Australia. Here the Sportage gets a two petrol engines (2.0L & 2.4L) and a 2.0L Turbo Diesel. The KIA's cousin, the Hyundai Tuscon does get a more powerful 130kW 1.6L turbo petrol engine in the mid to high spec models though. Thanks for watching!

      Why did Kia place the rear indicators so low down in the bumpers? Surely a safety issue?

    The start/stop technology was a deal breaker for me. Having to disable it every time I take a trip would become too annoying

      How do other cars do it, if they have it. Is there a setting which is remembered?
      I've never experienced this start/stop technology, but I'm imagining it would annoy the hell out of me.
