went to this area of Scotland for a trip a couple of months ago, played the prestwick courses. But I agree with you about the Troon clubhouse, it has an uncanny look and feel to it. The guys in the shop were really nice too
"Get off it wind". Flag sitting dead still. 😂 Pete somehow manages to play amazing golf and simultaneously deliver the plight of the average golfer. I love it.

Beautiful course.
For me, what was illuminating was the fact that a good golfer shot ten over par playing from 6,200 yards. It looks like we should all move up at least one tee.
Only two types of end describe that,DEAD and BELL . Shocking course management Pete-but what a fun watch 😂

Pete love these videos and the courses you are playing. Troon is a open course for a reason. We all have off days. You played good just had some bad luck.

Hi Pete and team from NZ. Love the Royal vids and Troon is my favourite location too. Just a thought, if you got another similar headcover for your 3 you could call them Mac and Tosh.
When you increased your distance, you increased your chances of hitting it farther into trouble....just part of the game...hang tight...you got this 😊

Peter I'm amazed . You can't hit that drive straight. You tested the Wilson driver , it was a few yards shorter but you hit it consistently straight . But your ego won't put it in the bag

One shot or bad/good break makes or breaks an entire round of golf. If the shot on the 5th had flown one foot further leaving a makeable birdie putt rather than caught the top of the bunker causing you to play away and scramble a bogey your head would have been in a while different place on the 6th tee and a total meltdown there wouldn’t have occurred.
How about playing the 4 iron challenge? Most club you take off the tee. The driver got you in trouble all day .

The front 9 was not terrible if you eradicate the 6th from your memory. I think you needed that wee pen from Men In Black that erases people's memory and give everyone a quick zap before walking off the 6th green.
That 6th green is impossible to erase 😂
Recording your game for for the world to see is utterly incompatible with my own selective memory method of golf... I would defo leave a couple of bats behind to make room for a neuralyser.

Caddy needed ,worked the big track at Troon for 30 years and there’s nowt worse than a 4 ball with no caddy,your smashing it into the right rough in 9 with a driver and thinking its fairway over there 👉
Great video. Unbelievably annoying scorecard music.
Just goes to show how important driving accuracy is. When Pete was approaching from the fairways, he was tap in pars. But coming from the rough meant a tough up and down, scrambling for pars resulting in bogeys most of the time. All of that stemming from wayward drives.

Why on earth would yiu not even take one caddy between 4 of you? Caddied at Troon for 30 years,your line of the tee at 9 is a prime example of why you need at least one person that knows the course

Played the RT 3 times and scored 71 every time, even though during two rounds I was -4 and +5 after the ninth. Trust me when I say this, the wind decides your score, not you!
I know it was a challenging round for you score wise but it's great to watch you playing these courses and enjoying yourself where you can. We're all learning seeing you play, keep up the great work as always.
You keep mentioning Arran, when are you going to play and film over there? I'll happily give you a local's perspective on Whiting Bay.
