I watched a lot of theories out there and felt the same way. Now I still do, but ever since his girl crush theory correspond so well with the new moon teaser I've been following his theories closely.
I'm so proud to have someone who has a big brain like you as a fellow Orbit. I'll never regret being part of all of this. And maybe, just maybe, Jaden Jeong out there, minus his evil ways, will be proud of you.
I think, maybe, considering this theory of the two color wheels, each one being a möbius strip, it makes it more logical as to why the odd eye circle girls are the ones they are (and there are only 3) Jinsoul and Kimlip are both part of the primary colors in BOTH color wheels (RGB & RYB), but in each of those the 3rd color varies, (the first one being green[haseul] and second one being yellow[hyunjin]). But let’s say for some reason the ‘between’ (where the odd eye circle girls live and got their powers) can only exist if ~or maybe IS THE EXACT POINT where~ the two möbius strips(color wheels) collide. Therefore neither green or yellow could be the right option, and the only option that makes sense is actually their complementary color(of both of them), so purple[choerry] is the default 3rd odd eye. So ultimately, there can only be 3 odd eye girls. I hope this made sense lol
Also I think this color wheels theory could match the theory of the light and dark sides of the moon. Where it depends on which side they are to how it affects them(their colors). But that’s totally independent from the flip sides of the möbius. It’s like a Cartesian plane (actually more like the Euclidean space), each side has also an up and a down side.
It could still be that. They look alike but not quite. I feel like that’s maybe the reason Choerry was finally recruited into Loona was because she looked like Hyunjin and so the producers could run with them being mirroring persons-the same person but mirrored.
This theory seriously gave me goosebumps. I would like to add one more thing, the appearance of the letterbox in Kim Lip’s Eclipse video. The scary part is the black letterbox first appears on Gowon’s One and Only video. Also in Hi High and Butterfly, the background when the logo appears is white, while in the So What and the Why Not video the background is black.
Wild thought, the whole vivid mv is so colorful and the colors are, well, very vivid, but at the end of the mv when heejin looks outside her window (and looks kinda surprised if you ask me, like shit is about to go down) the colors seem to fade. If you look at the ryb and rgb color wheels side to side, the colors in ryb seem to be less vivid than the ones of rgb. What if the whole vivid mv is set in the mobius strip that uses the rgb color wheel and at the end of the mv the two strips collide and she shifts to the ryb mobius strip.
and also what if the dark, ryb universe wasn’t supposed to exist? and it was “made” by Heejin’s mistake?? that would explain why she looks surprised and scared
this made me think, that haseul's absence in so what and why not actually makes sense. since haseul is on hi high/butterfly strip and boyseul is from so what/why not. haseul shot her reflection. that caused loona members from sw/wn strip to create new moon and merge two strips into one so they can bring boyseul back. or i'm just overthinking it, and it doesn't make sense at all
Something I have on the Klein bottle- in your “everything you missed in the new moon teaser” video, you mentioned a shape that appeared to be a water droplet. To me, it kinda looks like a Klein bottle breaking. Or maybe it’s wishful thinking- but I might be on to something🤔🤔

I really hope that Haseul comes back and we might get more answers.

Waitt that scene in the New Moon teaser where part of the screen was inverted... The reds and blues were the same but the greens and yellows, which are differing factors between RGB and RYB were barely/not visible. That may not be significant but what might be more likely is that when it was inverted the blacks turned white and vice versa and black and white correspond with each other between the two different color wheels. 🤔
This may just be a coincidence, but when you brought up light and dark it reminded me of an old theory of there being "day" and "night" subunits. You might be able to find it on twitter, but basically in the FavOriTe mv, the girls are split into two groups and Chuu and Kim Lip switch places. I don't know if it has anything to do with your theory, but I thought it was an interesting lil tidbit on the whole black and white color wheel situation.
May I also ask if you already made a video about LOONA's intro (the logo ones)? I just thought maybe they change according to which part of the mobius strip they (the girls) are in, there are ones who start with pink to black with white background, there's also the flipped one starting with black to pink with black background. I just thought there could be some hints there
I mentioned it in one of my Orbiting the Loonaverse videos that I don't think that specifically background colors don't have significance yet (other than the videos with 1/3 and yyxy because they are the opposites from each other so their backgrounds and eclipses are flipped colors). I have a working theory (I haven't shared yet) on the eclipse direction and it has proven right so far, but I'm going to need the next comeback MV to confirm my suspicion.
There’s something with the ‘world colliding’ where it could be that in one color wheel, Red and Blue collide and are Purple, and in the other, Red Blue and Yellow is another trio. Again, TWO sides: Blue Red *Yellow* : Blue Red *Purple*
heres some notes of mine; it's important to remember that the mobius strip diagram of the loonaverse actually has 2 twists, giving it 3 "planes". (to me) everything already makes sense with just 1 mobius strip. instead of having a mobius strip for each color wheel, it's just 1 SIDE of the same mobius strip. so your theory about using both color wheels i totally agree with, but i *don't* agree that means there's two seperate mobius strips. each point on the mobius strip has a counterpart on the other side; this is how i think both colorwheels (amongst other aspects of loonaverse duality) can exist on the same strip. i like to understand different models of the loonaverse this way, 4d - klein bottle 3d - mobius strip 2d - still image of mobius strip after understanding this, it becomes a lot easier to perceive where and how each girl can transverse between dimensions. in my opinion, anyway. great video, thank you.

this matches up with the day and night subunits pretty well the night subunit girls (gowon, chuu, choerry, yeojin, haseul, vivi): haseuls color is a primary color of light, everyone else has lighter colors (colors on the rgb wheel mix to become lighter) the day subunit girls (heejin, hyunjin, kim lip, jinsoul, yves, olivia hye): kim lip, jinsoul and choerrys all have primary colors of pigment, everyone else has darker colors (colors on the ryb wheel mix to become darker) maybe the reason why the day subunit has darker colors and the night subunit has lighter colors is that their colors have a stronger contrast compared to whether its day or night im kind of a babybit so i might have some things wrong but i thought this was something cool. interesting theory!
the only issues with my idea that come to mind is that heejin and choerry both have colors that seem neither dark nor light. purple means mixture between blue and red so she should be with kim lip and jinsoul, however a lot of people theorise that she originally came from earth so maybe her color is actually just a shade of violet on the rgb color wheel and with heejin, im not sure whether hot pink is lighter or darker so idk about that
Well if we were going by the loona intros, we have a white background for the strip in the world with light added(RGB) such as favourite, hi high and butterfly, & then a black background for the strip in the world that lack light (darkness/RYB) in that strip in that world where so what why not & star take place in, and that also could explain the absence of Haseul in this side of the strip we've seen for the last three Mvs. (ALSO THERE WAS THREE GROUP MVs BEFORE THE SWITCH TO THESE THREE, ) Anyway, maybe by destroying the moon in so what, then doing the midnight festival in why not, maybe in star was the final act in connecting the two Mobuis Strips. IDK XD JUST A THOUGHT I came up with.

I thought I was the only one thinking about this. I'm a really new orbit, and I immediately think of the Klein bottle after knowing about mobius strip and mirrors in loonaverse. I didn't think much about it but it actually makes sense....
RGB works if you combine Choerry's subcolor white with her primary color, and Jinsoul's subcolor black would indicate the existance of an alternate RYB wheel, as Jinsoul and Choerry's subcolors darken and lighten respectively, there is a parallel between this and how they are portrayed in the Loonaverse, and they also could represent the light and dark or day and night versions as you said, which coexist simultaneously
I thought of this on the spot so it's probably not gonna make sense but what if they were using the rgb color wheel when they had white converse and then when the switched to black converse they were using the ryb color wheel (as i finished writing this i found out it sounds completely stupid but i'm still gonna put this out there, maybe it will help someone idk lmaojagdjhagdj)
Hey! A new orbit here. Could someone please explain how do we know that loonaverse exists on a Mobius strip, apart from BBC putting it on the logo? Like how does it affect the storyline? How are the earth and eden related to the Mobius strip?
I think you can also pinpoint at roughly which point the split occurs. It’s common knowledge by now that the loop is broken in hi high. But what if it didn’t split into a single strip, but two like this video suggests? So since hi high, they’ve been working with two strips. And what if go won somehow traveled to another strip which is how she went to haseuls ship with the feathers? And can cheorry still flip????
Thank you for making this video & your theory's are amazing and the best I've seen from the fandom! But one thing, if the 2 mobius strips (one of them taking place in the day, and one taking place during the night), how would the grass from LCM & the grass in Why Not invert from Green to Purple since the scene in LCM it's daytime whilst in Why Not it's night time. However the theory about the 2 mobius strips could still be very true, I do believe that this theory about the colour wheels could be true as well but that was just one inconsistency I noticed. I hope I didn't come across as rude or anything and I hope you have a happy new year !!
I think that this could make a lot of sense, for example, the ot12 intros of the videos, one has a white background (rgb center) and the other one a black background (ryb center) I don't know if anyone noticed that but it could be an important part of the lore that we didn't notice 😱
I just wanted to mention that ryb isn’t subtractive colour, cmy is. Ryb is only used in mediums like paint where the colours are based on ratios. This is in contrast to cmy colour which is used in subtractive mediums like marker or pencil crayon.
Always thought Heejin was heavily associated with OEC, she was even in Jinsoul's Singing in the Rain. I honestly think all of 1/3 are secretly Odd Eye, unless the real secret is that ALL of the members are but it depends on which timeline
hi eric! from this video i have remembered that it was said from bbc i believe that Choerry and Jinsoul have two colors or stand between two colors. Choerry who stands between or has the two colors purple and white while Jinsoul stands between/ has black and blue. This could explain why there would be two color wheels. I wonder if this has something to do with the colors and other stuff from the Loona theory.
Idk if its just me but i think lines resperents the members roles / importance for being exist in the theory i suppose(?) since in why not its focused in Yves-ViVi story , thats why vivi got 10 sec a.k.a a little bit more than just 2 sec or 8 sec
on an unrelated note, why does nobody acknowledge that the butterfly has been referenced before "butterfly" came out and before gowon's animal have been revealed in one and only? It's been revealed in sweet crazy love in one of Kim Lip's scenes and it might tie up with why not at the end?
And what if the two möbius strips represent the two sides of the moon (light and dark). This would explain why in light moon MV (Love Cherry Motion) we use RGB color wheel because it forms white and in dark moon MV (So what) we use RYB color wheel because it forms black. This would explain why in Love Cherry Motion (light side of the moon) the grass changes from green to purple and why in So what (dark side of the moon) Hyunjin and Choerry are related. P.D.: this is just my theory, maybe I have made some mistakes, I'm a new orbit so please forgive me 😅
I'm sorry to say, but the RYB and RGB color wheel just doesnt exist. It is the lack of knowledge in physics and light that made the old masters create that color wheel with the pigment they had. There is two different way to "mix" color : One is by mixing lights. This is the additive spectrum color mixing. The other is my mixing paints, or pigments. In this case, each paints added to the mix reduce the amount of light that bounce off of it. This is called the substrative color mixing. Now, there are only 6 differents "unique" hues. Red, Magenta, Blue, Cyan, Green, and Yellow. Depending if you're mixing light or pigment, the three primary colors wont be the same. Red , Blue and Green for additive. Magenta, Cyan and Yellow for substractive. Try mixing blue paint and yellow paint. You will get a very muddy, dark green. That's because blue isnt a primary. Cyan is. That's why the color wheel you showed in the video is 100% wrong. Now for the complementary colors. Those 3 pairs never change. No matter what type of mixing you are refering to. Red and Cyan are complementary. (Hence the old 3D glasses color). Blue and Yellow - Magenta and Green. One of the problem as to why this is very confusing to almost everyone is our confusion with "blue". We call "blue" the color of the sky. But that's not Blue. Blue is the darkest hue there is. Also, most people dont know Cyan. Some people argue " i see it blue " " i see it green". They are both wrong , you see it the same. It's just Cyan. If you read everthing, thank you very much ^^' I know it was long and not very interesting, but if you got question about hue and colors, i'll be very happy to answer.
I was actually in the same position as you in his last video. I said the exact same thing but other people shared their opinions regarding this. With their opinions shared, we somehow got to the conclusion that both could exist, or there is a better way to interpret the colors.

I've been pondering this for quite a while when I was a new fan and listening to their whole discography. Now, I've come to fine that Kim Lip's line in See Saw, she sings and mentions coffee. In Kim Lip's own b-side, she also mentions coffee somewhere if I heard it correctly. I haven't gone too much into yet but I just found that super interesting

i don't know of how much help can this be to you, and to your theories, but in actuality red and blue aren't primary colors, they are confused/exchanged with magenta (heejin?) and cyan (gowon?) which are in fact primary colors alongside with yellow - at least at the rgb color wheel. could this explain hyunjin and gowon connection? heejin's importance as the first girl?
conclusion: girl front told us everything, we just haven't noticed yet

(to me) everything already makes sense with just 1 mobius strip. instead of having a mobius strip for each color wheel, it's just 1 SIDE of the same mobius strip. so your theory about using both color wheels i totally agree with, but i *don't* agree that means there's two seperate mobius strips. each point on the mobius strip has a counterpart on the other side; this is how i think both colorwheels (amongst other aspects of loonaverse duality) can exist on the same strip.
i like to understand different models of the loonaverse this way,
4d - klein bottle
3d - mobius strip
2d - still image of mobius strip
after understanding this, it becomes a lot easier to perceive where and how each girl can transverse between dimensions. in my opinion, anyway. great video, thank you.

this matches up with the day and night subunits pretty well
the night subunit girls (gowon, chuu, choerry, yeojin, haseul, vivi): haseuls color is a primary color of light, everyone else has lighter colors (colors on the rgb wheel mix to become lighter)
the day subunit girls (heejin, hyunjin, kim lip, jinsoul, yves, olivia hye): kim lip, jinsoul and choerrys all have primary colors of pigment, everyone else has darker colors (colors on the ryb wheel mix to become darker)
maybe the reason why the day subunit has darker colors and the night subunit has lighter colors is that their colors have a stronger contrast compared to whether its day or night
im kind of a babybit so i might have some things wrong but i thought this was something cool. interesting theory!
the only issues with my idea that come to mind is that heejin and choerry both have colors that seem neither dark nor light. purple means mixture between blue and red so she should be with kim lip and jinsoul, however a lot of people theorise that she originally came from earth so maybe her color is actually just a shade of violet on the rgb color wheel
and with heejin, im not sure whether hot pink is lighter or darker so idk about that
Well if we were going by the loona intros, we have a white background for the strip in the world with light added(RGB) such as favourite, hi high and butterfly, & then a black background for the strip in the world that lack light (darkness/RYB) in that strip in that world where so what why not & star take place in, and that also could explain the absence of Haseul in this side of the strip we've seen for the last three Mvs. (ALSO THERE WAS THREE GROUP MVs BEFORE THE SWITCH TO THESE THREE, ) Anyway, maybe by destroying the moon in so what, then doing the midnight festival in why not, maybe in star was the final act in connecting the two Mobuis Strips. IDK XD JUST A THOUGHT I came up with.

RGB works if you combine Choerry's subcolor white with her primary color, and Jinsoul's subcolor black would indicate the existance of an alternate RYB wheel, as Jinsoul and Choerry's subcolors darken and lighten respectively, there is a parallel between this and how they are portrayed in the Loonaverse, and they also could represent the light and dark or day and night versions as you said, which coexist simultaneously
I thought of this on the spot so it's probably not gonna make sense but what if they were using the rgb color wheel when they had white converse and then when the switched to black converse they were using the ryb color wheel (as i finished writing this i found out it sounds completely stupid but i'm still gonna put this out there, maybe it will help someone idk lmaojagdjhagdj)

I think you can also pinpoint at roughly which point the split occurs. It’s common knowledge by now that the loop is broken in hi high. But what if it didn’t split into a single strip, but two like this video suggests? So since hi high, they’ve been working with two strips. And what if go won somehow traveled to another strip which is how she went to haseuls ship with the feathers? And can cheorry still flip????
Thank you for making this video & your theory's are amazing and the best I've seen from the fandom! But one thing, if the 2 mobius strips (one of them taking place in the day, and one taking place during the night), how would the grass from LCM & the grass in Why Not invert from Green to Purple since the scene in LCM it's daytime whilst in Why Not it's night time.
However the theory about the 2 mobius strips could still be very true, I do believe that this theory about the colour wheels could be true as well but that was just one inconsistency I noticed. I hope I didn't come across as rude or anything and I hope you have a happy new year !!

I think that this could make a lot of sense, for example, the ot12 intros of the videos, one has a white background (rgb center) and the other one a black background (ryb center) I don't know if anyone noticed that but it could be an important part of the lore that we didn't notice 😱

Yeah it's possible that both ryb and rgb exist because Olivia hye is Grey so it's a mix of black and white
I just wanted to mention that ryb isn’t subtractive colour, cmy is. Ryb is only used in mediums like paint where the colours are based on ratios. This is in contrast to cmy colour which is used in subtractive mediums like marker or pencil crayon.
Always thought Heejin was heavily associated with OEC, she was even in Jinsoul's Singing in the Rain. I honestly think all of 1/3 are secretly Odd Eye, unless the real secret is that ALL of the members are but it depends on which timeline

hi eric! from this video i have remembered that it was said from bbc i believe that Choerry and Jinsoul have two colors or stand between two colors. Choerry who stands between or has the two colors purple and white while Jinsoul stands between/ has black and blue. This could explain why there would be two color wheels. I wonder if this has something to do with the colors and other stuff from the Loona theory.

And what if the two möbius strips represent the two sides of the moon (light and dark). This would explain why in light moon MV (Love Cherry Motion) we use RGB color wheel because it forms white and in dark moon MV (So what) we use RYB color wheel because it forms black. This would explain why in Love Cherry Motion (light side of the moon) the grass changes from green to purple and why in So what (dark side of the moon) Hyunjin and Choerry are related.

I'm sorry to say, but the RYB and RGB color wheel just doesnt exist. It is the lack of knowledge in physics and light that made the old masters create that color wheel with the pigment they had.
There is two different way to "mix" color :
One is by mixing lights. This is the additive spectrum color mixing.
The other is my mixing paints, or pigments. In this case, each paints added to the mix reduce the amount of light that bounce off of it. This is called the substrative color mixing.
Now, there are only 6 differents "unique" hues. Red, Magenta, Blue, Cyan, Green, and Yellow.
Depending if you're mixing light or pigment, the three primary colors wont be the same.
Red , Blue and Green for additive.
Magenta, Cyan and Yellow for substractive.
Try mixing blue paint and yellow paint. You will get a very muddy, dark green. That's because blue isnt a primary. Cyan is. That's why the color wheel you showed in the video is 100% wrong.
Now for the complementary colors. Those 3 pairs never change. No matter what type of mixing you are refering to.
Red and Cyan are complementary. (Hence the old 3D glasses color).
Blue and Yellow - Magenta and Green.
One of the problem as to why this is very confusing to almost everyone is our confusion with "blue". We call "blue" the color of the sky. But that's not Blue. Blue is the darkest hue there is.
Also, most people dont know Cyan. Some people argue " i see it blue " " i see it green". They are both wrong , you see it the same. It's just Cyan.

I was actually in the same position as you in his last video. I said the exact same thing but other people shared their opinions regarding this. With their opinions shared, we somehow got to the conclusion that both could exist, or there is a better way to interpret the colors.

In Kim Lip's own b-side, she also mentions coffee somewhere if I heard it correctly. I haven't gone too much into yet but I just found that super interesting

i don't know of how much help can this be to you, and to your theories, but in actuality red and blue aren't primary colors, they are confused/exchanged with magenta (heejin?) and cyan (gowon?) which are in fact primary colors alongside with yellow - at least at the rgb color wheel. could this explain hyunjin and gowon connection? heejin's importance as the first girl?
