Hal Ketchum is such an under recognized artist. A wonderful vocalist and song writer. "Small Town Saturday Night ", "It's a Five O'clock World", "Sure Love", "I Miss My Mary" etc etc. He was diagnosed with a neurological illness that left him partially paralyzed. He made a comeback to music only to be later diagnosed with Dementia and Alzheimers.
Check out some of his music. He's worth the listen.
I wish he got more recognition. He is such a wonderful singer and actor.

He passed away today from Dementia and Alzheimer's. This is one of my favorite songs of his. May he rest in peace.

Sadly, Hal stepped back a couple of years ago due to health reasons. My sister used to see him a lot in Gruene, TX. What a hunk.

My heart is broken upon hearing that he passed away at age 67. This is my favorite of his. I just learned that a songwriter in Ireland wrote it & got the lyrics to Nashville & then Hal Ketchum. Such raw emotions from my early 20s -- this particular song really had a lot of meaning at the time & it is just so honest -- thanks for the reaction, Miss India 💕!!

Hats off to you for playing one of the most overlooked singer/songwriters of the early 90's...I believe this was his debut album and it absolutely kills...I don't know if it counts as a concept album or not, but many of the songs seem related...You should watch the video of the first song from the album SMALL TOWN SATURDAY NIGHT...Its a riot...Unfortunately Hal got Parkinsons or something and can't really play anymore...

Only found Hal's Cover of this song today and i love it his voice is so easy to listen to , there's a great video of him singing this in an irish pub in Dublin with Mick Hanly ( the writer of the song) its acoustic and hals voice is amazing.

I really like this artist. He was such a poet and had a unique voice.
This is such an intense song of want. It's really primal, dark, and almost even angry. So much want and desire, need and pining. This is the ultimate song for pushing someone away then regretting it. Trust me, I know this intimately.

The Guitar is so significant in this song with the drum motif.

I really like India s comments. I see the sadness and them missing each other in the video. It would be nice if he was going to go see her on his motorcycle at the end of the video.
