- Eagle's Nest Wildife Sanctuary -( an unlimited treasure cove in terms of both birds and wildlife) is a protected area in Himalayan foothills located in west kameng district in Arunachal Pradesh. Eagle's Nest acquired its name from the Indian army regiment named "Eagle" stationed there years ago. Eagle's Nest prime draw is that it is considered amongst the topmost birding destinations in the World - a birding paradise ( some species found nowhere else in the country) with the checklist growing faster than the expectations of the birding enthusiasts.

Absolutely pathetic staying arrangements whilst the charges for birding is so high. Basically all the operators and all this camps are cheating people who travel because of love of nature. Nature and birds are offered free to mankind by the almighty and while it is okay to pay charges to the guide and taxi but not for such pathetic staying places.....same with Mishmi. We ate roti and bitter gourd for breakfast. Absolutely deplorable. Coffee House is so poorly maintained. The stairs are a death trap at Coffee House. These places should be closed down by local authorities as they not only lack basic facilities but also put public life in jeopardy. Secondly there is blatant call playing which is illegal.
