"Glory to the newborn king" - Isaiah 9:2-7 promises light in darkness through a coming ruler. Despite political and spiritual despair, Isaiah foretells a child-Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Prince of Peace-who will break burdens, end wars, and establish eternal peace. Jesus, the fulfilment of this prophecy, offers true light and hope. Christmas isn't fleeting sentimentality but a reminder of lasting salvation and freedom through Christ, our eternal King.
