So glad I watched this. Was unaware that it would crack windows with prolonged use. I'm trying to find something to block out the light during the day as I work nights and was considering getting this curtain. Wonder if you open a window a bit will help to keep the windows from over heating
Having used one now for a few weeks I have to say that I can understand how the window cracking could happen. The window we use it in is in direct sunlight of an evening, and being black this soaks up heat. I doubt in our case it is severe enough to crack the window, but it was warming up the room. The solution though was simply to glue a foil blanket (emergency one from an outdoors shop) to the back of it and now it reflects all the heat back out - shame Tommy Tippee don't do a foil backing as standard if it is a known issue.
To anyone who’s considering in buying this product. Please please and PLEASE be mega and extra careful because of the cracking situation. I’ve just discovered a large crack on my window and my parents flipped out. Do not keep it on all the time, even taking half of it down to let some light it. Just take it all down in the morning.
Hi Becca! I have a almost 4 month old who has been doing daytime naps in a none pitch black room this whole time. I did not know I needed to put down my LO in a pitch black room. What is the purpose of having the room pitch black? Thank you for your videos! About to go checkout the 4 month regression one since it is already upon us!
Thanks for this. We're going to go for it and get one. The cracking window thing sounds so crazy though!
Currently on offer in Argos for about £9...hence me coming here for a review...and I must say thank you for your excellent video, Very Helpful

Yes the window gets so hot doesn't it! Even first thing in the morning when sun has just risen. This is a great tip to help with that, thank you!
Don't find mine sticks well on vehicle windows for camping. Any other tips welcome?
Thank you it was really helpful
Just wanted to say this was extremely helpful as the product didnt come with any instructions or anything. Thanks!
Yes I struggled with figuring out how to reduce the size at first!
