The magnetometer is vital to gyroscope functioning properly. It, along with the accelerometer, is used to calculate the fused location of the device. This is why the 3 sensors gyro, accel and magnet are together known as IMUs or Inertia measurement unit.

You forget many other common sensors. For starters, you forgot about Heart rate sensor that comes in all Samsung flagships since S5. It's even being used in all fitness smartwatches and almost all fitness bands. It can also measure ECG(Apple watch), O2 etc apart from heart rate and stress rate(gimmicky but it's there). Another sensor is IR Blaster that is used like a Universal remote to control all gadgets at home. I just can't tell you how easy it has made my life. And among this list, the most important sensor that you forgot is the one that you currently use to unlock your phone with your finger. Yes right, the Fingerprint sensor. It's used to do all kinds of fancy tricks apart from the obvious like taking photos etc. And if you are at it then there is microphone sensor that is again used to detect sleep, crying baby, it can trigger "Ok Google", take photographs and record video just by speaking the magic word and in the future, it might also be used to do voice authentication/recognition to unlock. Cool!

Totally incorrect about accelerometer. Android 6.1 isn't the first to use it for quick time check. With Android 5.0 in Nexus 6, it was the first time Google did something like that.
Anyways a nice video, neat and simple to understand.
