Link may not speak often, but he doesn’t need to, especially when it comes to conveying his true feelings. Actions speak louder than words, and Link is truly a man of action.

He actually speaks a lot in BotW and TotK. Whenever there's dialogue to select or when Link does that one gesture where he apparently says something to an NPC. You just don't hear him say words. At least I can't remember that

There are 4 sides to the Hero of the Wild.
1. Lovable dork who can somehow eat rocks and may be part Goron.
2. Psychotic gremlin that tortures Koroks, kills multi story abominations with hardly any issue, and uses monster parts to kill other monsters (Although that first one is more likely player choice than actual canon).
3. Silent and depressed young man burdened by the weight of being a hero and the loss of his kingdom, friends, girlfriend, and family. (Kinda want this to be explored more in the third game)
4. The loyal and honorable hero that lives up to and exceeds the standards passed down by the previous Links.

@@Almandeen It’s not confirmed, but I wouldn’t be suprised if there was a third game. Both BOTW and TOTK did well commercially and critically. A third game is most likely inevitable.
@@justincummings8557 Unfortunately the director has stated in an interview that the team feels they have achieved everything they wanted to in this iteration of Hyrule. We're not seeing DLC, let alone a third game..

No matter how much things have changed, Link will always be Zelda’s devoted knight.
Zelda wants her true knight happy and living life while Link wants nothing but to stay by her side because he enjoys his princess. I love this so much

I know this is a dark way of seeing it, but if only Zelda knew how long Link will be protecting her and Hyrule.
the sad truth that is, but we know one day in a different timeline they no longer will have to deal with Ganondorf, but that is for the future when that happens, if we were to look at some of the LOZ games, Ganon wasn't in it nor the villain in those games, so they didn't have to deal with Ganon but a different form of demise's curse/hatred.

Holy shit, I've never looked at the lore like this in the game but it makes sense now! I always thought link looked uninterested in the cutscenes but so carefree when exploring the world after losing his memories

Really Link just wouldn't know what to do with himself if he wasn't Zelda's knight, he needs something to pull himself back from his aimless wandering from time to time and to give his life meaning.
the artist had no business making the little emotes that are Link's speech so cute. The defending Zelda = happy and the infinite symbol were adorable.
