@@AZODi I usually produce just instrumentals, I experiment a lot with different sounding tracks, the ones I post on my YT channel are the ones I'm certain and happy with. The stuff i make is usually based around the kpop style of music, however with a more EDM and vocal heavy tone to it, usually with alot of synths and isolated sounds to create a more dramatic effect. I usually listen to a lot of girl group songs as i really like the vocals as they stand out within those groups.
On vlive they said that the original song was very different. JB said that the JYPE production team/JYP kept rejecting his re-do (after staking their input into consideration) until the final version was given a go ahead. In a way this song is a group effort. Artistry and vision must marry marketing and money. JB May feel a bit seeing his baby become unrecognizable but the end result is terrific. This song is sonically interesting and great blend of several genres. And the choreo is eye candy. It never fails to amaze me how this group gets better with each song and each choreo.

I consider the Kpop group first then the market and demand / sales 2nd, then you start to write the song. The reality is the market decides if it likes the song, we don't as the writers or labels. All we can do is create the very best of our abilities and get it out there! My video this week will have a small point about that too. The fact they had to rewrite the song a few times is fairly normal, everyone likes to put their opinion and mark on the song! Eclipse is such a great piece of art musically and visually. Thanks! 😁. Everyone is seeking the one that trumps them all. I always think that the general public decides which song would be the song of the year or decade. We all know songs that didn’t win any big award when it came out but are still staples today (while the winners fade into obscurity). The artist is part of the package. So many one hit wonders in pop music and in fiction writing, never able or want to duplicate the success. At times I worry about pop music running out of fresh songs because there are finite numbers of notes, chords, and keys (frankly, some combinations just don’t work). When I hear something new and catchy (like Fancy and Eclipse), my faith is restored. Also, some artists have a signature sound to their songs (like Day6). Why don’t I get tired of their new songs is another fun mystery. The eternal hardship of any music management is to negotiate with talents. Creative people are mostly not business minded. They also don’t trust the suits. How to make money of off talents without antagonize them is not easy. On the flip side, some talents are forever stubborn 5/10 year-olds; always need to be taken care of and don’t listen to voice of reason (before adding addiction issue or mental drama). It is great fun to create music and work with talents. I wish yours is a profitable venture without needing too many side hustles. Really enjoy listening to your reactions. Perhaps you can do a detail breakdown of your absolute faves in the future for people who love song writing and music production.

My old band had a great team behind us, but we started to expect results for minimal work which wasn't good and on the business side, I've helped artists who just expect you to do the work for them with no return! You live, you learn right? I don't think that creative and business dynamic will change much, but I'm seeing musicians getting more knowledgeable and better, myself included! One of the best things I did for my career was to study business and marketing, especially in this internet / social media age! Wouldn't be in this position now without it! I'm a counselor, I use music for therapy. GOT7 music is very useful eps. their b-side tracks. For this song, I like it although I don't like EDM much. It sounds different from general EDM. It's NOT too much, don't hurt my ears, don't make me dizzy and NOT too much catchy, it doesn't stuck in my head like I have Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder in my brain lol. I like the vibe of this song eps. in the beginning part and vocal before the hook. I got many emotion from this 1 song :)

Yeah I wouldn't say this is EDM but it is related, kinda like under the same umbrella or a brother / sister genre ha ha. I use GOT7's Miracle as my calming sound whenever I feel too emotional. The song calms me effectively... JJP's Tomorrow Today almost has the same effect. That's one of the reasons I stan GOT7 😊

JJP album I often listen to "the day", listen to this song while drinking hot chocolate and look at ouside window, it's the BEST 😊 Ps. Jus2 album is really good one too.
