I love your videos.keep up the great work❤.Will you be going to the Sydney Night Noodle Market in Surry Hills this week?My mom would like to know where you got the electrical hot pot appliance to boil all the hot pot ingredients.
I used to live in help st chatswood when ever i missed sydney i always watch your videos...i always get marinated beef bulgogi from the butcher u getting the meat from it’s good..
whats the BEST thing you've ever won from maccas monopoly?? If you're not watching from Australia, do you guys have Mcdonalds Monopoly where you're from??
Went to Kappo on Wednesday and it was a nice experience! Sadly Hidezou wasn't there when I went - he really makes the atmosphere all bubbly! The mackerel roll and sea urchin were my favs of the night. Only differences I can see from the menu was that we didn't have the rubyfish, sardine roll, and toothfish but instead had mackerel roll, tuna cheek tatsutaage and an 'everything' roll (basically the leftover chutoro, mackerel, john dory, shiso leaf, ginger, chives); we didn't get the tempura scampi but instead the whole eel; and instead of the duck jibuni we got an imperador nitsuke. Overall I rate a 7/10 on my fine dining list. You should prepare yourself for their new shop Irori Kuon Omakse - grilling with wood/charcoal.
OK so 180 Australian dollars is about $USD 115. Great price. In the U.S. or Japan much more costly. So isn't the winter season warm in Australia? A Aussie friend told me your Xmas is warm. It gets cold about summer. Excellent video. Thanks much.
I love your videos Janice. I think I have been watching since your very first ones where you were in your work toilet about to resign or had just resigned from you job. You’re a breathe of fresh air on TH-cam with your videos 😊
Love how you reflect and respond your viewers buy actually getting the hotcakes from maccas. Also you and your siblings are so close. Always try to keep in touch reminds of me and my sisters. Although I don't have a brother. Lol
Hi Janice, I enjoy your weekly posts, keep them up. I live in country Victoria, so I don't get a lot of opportunities to expand my culinary horizons. I am on the Gold Coast for a golf trip for the next couple of weeks ... and I've found a restaurant that has a fair variety, Grand dynasty in Broadbeach, so I'm taking the opportunity to try a bit. Prawn and spring onion Congee yesterday, I liked it, would be great on a winters day. Tripe with Vhu Hou sauce, first time trying tripe.
Hey Janice. I really admire you taking a chance and becoming a TH-camr. You can tell through your videos you really love what you do. Although watching you eat a $200 Omakase is out of my league it was great watching !!
One thing you can’t do is to watch your video during dinner time. Looking at your omakase Japanese meal, then look back at my dinner plate… one word comes to mind. Sigh! But don’t stop! Love to feel envy of you!
Heyy from New Zealand, 10:38 pm Sunday NZT here. Yes we have MD Monopoly but I'm not into their rewards system. Looking forward to coming to SYD in Dec ^u^.
I think you just need to change the shutter speed on your camera. Either that or your camera is set to NTSC and doesn't like the Australian hz cycle, so you need to change to PAL perhaps.
Who doesn’t love hot pot its yum and wow at the 🍣 food at Kuon it’s all looked delicious and fresh ..I think your description of food is always on point ..Another amazing vlog Janice ..x🥰💕

My dad and I look forward to your videos every week! Just stopped by Eastwood to find the hotpot soup base and went through 3 stores until we found the one you tried. Can’t wait to try it 😍
What lovely food you featured here... both at home and dining out. Good to hang with the family when you can. Your sister and brother are just as cute as can be.... thank you for sharing them with us.
Finally the wait is over for your vlog 😁 Well worth the wait as always. Hope I can find those soup base in Chinatown 🧐 And definitely hope to try out Kappo one day 🥰
I hope I get to visit Australia one day. Maybe I’ll run into you in one of your restaurant recommendations. You look good with glasses too. Do you need them to drive? But sometimes you aren’t wearing them when you drive too. 😊
Once again thanks for your cheery blog, we loved Eunices happy hotpot dance, and the lovely hotpot...we get worried if you don't blog for more than week 🙂
Hahahaha your sisters comment about Chatswood…yep its Chatswood…parking is hell there…second only to Cabramatta 😂 Also the lines on the video might be from the lighting…its possible the refresh rate of the lights in the venue is different to the frame rate on the video…happens a lot with fluorescent lighting…but i could be wrong…
I thought so too, I actually changed the frame rate on the video, but the lines were still there :( I watched some TH-cam videos after, and they suggested lowering shutter speed so.... if that ever happens again I'll give that a go
Omg thanks for the shout out - I literally squealed 😂 I’m glad my “Janice!!!” didn’t startle you the other day 😆 thanks for all the great videos. Running into you and Eunice really made our day, and especially cool that we went to the place you recommended and Eddy was eating the thing you recommended 😄 we look forward to watching all your videos til you’re 80+ 👍🏽

I may have seen you once at chatty but next time I’ll come say hi :D Will add kuon to the list when craving omakase, tried choji yakiniku recently thanks to ur vid but not the omakase yet. Also if you ever want to try Persian food, recommend Parsargad in Willoughby, nice strip of eateries in that area.
hahaha tell your siblings “There’s no other alternative word to Umami bro!”. Legit, I have been slammed in youtube for using it in my videos lol. So I asked my Japanese friends if we can replace it with “super savoury” and they said nah, no other words come close to umami. Also, Kappo by Kuon was awesome hehe.

Parking tip for Chatswood, I find that Chatswood Place is less chaotic than Westfield or Chase. It's bit more of a walk, but less stressful.
