Best way to cross any boarder is to go direct to the immigration officers especially Tunduma boarder, and when you are asked if the country you are going doesn't require you to get a VISA you can cross without showing any money or proof of funds. i am from Malawi i used to pass that boarder frequently while delivering cars from Dar Es Salaam port all the way to Zimbabwe Via Lusaka Zambia. I Used to use the same tourism/ visiitng places i would get 30 days or in transit i would get 7 days without paying. The problem is that you used agents hence being scammed. Next time passing a boarder just tell them you are a TH-camr and show them your channel and tell them to subscribe and like your channel they6 will give you easy access.

Con men are always on the lookout to fleece someone it happens worldwide they are normally found at airports, transport systems or money exchangers and work in groups, don't let it get you down it is all experience, we have all been stung. When it happened to me the man in question was so embarrassed when he found out I understood what he was saying.
Lenox, you should jot down notes while you are travelling and comment on 'Trip Advisor' to
help someone with suggestions to experience a smoother journey, and I'm sorry you don't get paid for it. The landscape is breathtaking with the mountains stretched far into the horizon, thank you, Lenox, have a good night's sleep tomorrow will be a better day. Cheers!

Sorry to say, but it's your own fault. Why did you use a third-party. You simply needed to queue with everyone else.

Hey, I had paid the whole trip from Dar to Zambia, but the bus I was to use did not show up and rather placed me in another bus. They then told me tp collect my next ticket from these guys. So inshort they had my next bus ticket meaning they are the ones to take me to the bus.

If I were you I would make sure I get all what required at the border without using a third party so I won't give a chance to corrupted ppl. Also whenever such bus failed to show up then I would go to their office and demand my ride back rather than trusting them and ended up going through such issues.

You got yourself into the situation: people literally walk across that border.

I feel for you man. I have crossed Tunduma border about 10 times without any problem, I think the conman dishonestly arranged so that they can make money out of you. I was going to Botswana, they asked how much money I had to sustain me, I showed them 600 USD, and it was ok.

And nothing will happen to them because people secretly agree with the way things are done. Or at least it seems that way.

I don't understand,Do you need to have someone's contact at that border?
Is there another border from TZ to Zambia or any other option?
Why did you use that border after you clearly stated in an old video how corrupt it is?
Its very hard to deal with people who are not straight forward.
    Wish you well.

Even with Tunduma Border to have some Chaos, Tanzania in General is Safe and Peaceful Country than Kenya by Far. No Bandits and road blockers like in Kenya.

the bigest issue is ZAMBIANS officials are targetting blacks, i know 2 kenyans refuse to pay bribe sent to jail, they were 3 i had some money so i padi for women $50 dollar for a woman to be let free, she was going to kenya from NAMIBIA, AND I WAS TRAVELLING FROM SOUTH AFRICA, and other 2 kenyans guys didnt have money to bribe were sent to jail,, people are good but officials are backwards and primitive as hell, next bOrder called CHILUNDU is worser actually, IM TANZANIAN, some tanzanians are in Zambians jail , tahst why some Tanzanians uses bus rather use malawi to South africa than ZAMBIA ,, corruption is exremely. in ZAMBIA ..they ony target blacks, remember they chased RWANDESE who do business in ZAMBIA with machete , thats tell you something

I have travelled with Abood Bus for quite sometime during my trips within Tanzania and their services were topnotch.
All i can say is experiences are different and as a traveller such extortion encounters and con acts during the travels are common. Take it easy buddy.
