    I’ve been watching Esk8 vids for a few months now. Bought a meepo 1.5 just to see if I was going to enjoy the hobby (lifelong skater). Nothing like it! Your vids have inspired me to crank it up a notch. Sick speeds!

    I love your videos and made me make my own board.. but i think its such a shame you dont got any videos how you did program the vesc (motor current max ,motor current max breaking, abseloutly max current, slow abs flash or true? Battery current max, battery current max regen) ( erpm and so on)
    Will still be so great if you want to make a last programming video to let us see your options is in vesc tool 😊

    I took a slam last week doing 25mph and now have a separated shoulder AC joint grade 3. Im wincing watching this haha. Mine is same setup but 10s4p. How the hell are you not getting speed wobble!? Thats what threw me off.

    • @mattmccrary8
      @mattmccrary8  7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Amelia Records I used 218mm trucks that are real wide. I’ve eaten shit on my evolve numerous times but I’ve never gotten the speed wobbles on this board. Honestly it’s never even been close!

      What degree trucks you running? Also, what durometer bushings?

    cool setup there mate. I've got a bunch of similar parts on order in UK as it happens so thought I'd have a look around and see if anyone else has done the same. On order : battery is a 10s5p (15AHr Max Disch - 100A), dual FOCBOX controllers, dual 6374 190kv (max 3550W x2), 218mm trucks, ABEC11 97mm Greens, 40" deck, 15T/36T pulleys. All connectors etc etc..... I think I weigh more than you at 95kg, but am I likely to get similar performance out of this setup ? Gonna need some pads as my balls clearly aren't as large as yours !!!!

    • @mattmccrary8
      @mattmccrary8  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yessir, that should get you moving just fine. I’m using a 12s battery but running FOC is a lot less stress on the electronics with 10s. Let me know how it comes out man!

    Matt. Great video!!! Did you get a chance to see the Nextboard NGV??
    It's officially for sale now. Only thing is that they are based out of Europe. They are located in Slovenia. They claim a top speed of 68 miles an hour. I highly doubt I will ever go that fast but I would have to see it to believe it. It is expensive at about 3200 dollars but I would like to have one just knowing there is extra power
    I have a Boosted Board Dual +. Its a first generation board. Wonderful ride but on hills it gets lethargic. They are rated at 22 miles an hour. Hope to hear from you

    • @mattmccrary8
      @mattmccrary8  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I have, it’s pretty crazy to see and I can’t imagine those speeds. $3200 is a lot but for the specs you can’t beat it

      Matt hi. I really appreciate your reply. As a matter of fact, one of the guys from the engineering crew at Nextboards (Marko Hren) just emailed me and he wants me to help promote the Nextboard to alot of skateboard fans out there. Just pass on the youtube videos and literature to whoever you know skateboard and stuff. Im from NYC and alot of people are buying the electric boards now and the solowheels too. Honestly Matt, I use my boosted board strictly for the last mile commute. My job is far from the train station. Only drawback is that there is one long hill and another hill leading to the entrance to my job and the boosted board fails miserably. I'm still making payments on it. I have only about $500 left to pay off. But I really wish I knew about the Nextboard firsthand. Hope to hear from you.

    the things i do to have roads like this in my area, wow! nice, could you do a speedometer video to prove that you are going that fast for the haters?

    Sick bro! 12s is such a difference between 10s and 10s is still fast! Love that you undermountd your motors, looks stelth! I'm waiting on my deck and trucks and I should be good to go! Have you experienced any belt slip? I mean there's lots of power under that deck!

    • @mattmccrary8
      @mattmccrary8  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks man and I appreciate it. I did have some slippage with 12mm belts, I know only use 15mm wide belts and pulleys

    • @BigKidsOfficial
      @BigKidsOfficial 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      mattmccrary8 ahhh okay makes sense. Im working on a dual 6374 motor build and my main concern is slippage; especially at high speeds. I got soem motor mounts with idlers and there aweome! Maybe I'll also add some 15mm belts as well.

    • @mattmccrary8
      @mattmccrary8  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya idlers change the game, I’ve never had mounts with them so I can’t attest. I will say I noticed a slight difference I range/drag from wider belts.
