    I'm work with Angular because it gives a clear structure of writing your code and organize your thought process, there many variables in achieving speed and that is mostly by writing good code

      Yeah. I can agree that even though for the first time it may seem like to make first steps with react is much easier. But when you really grasp all concepts of Angular - it is really awesome in fact that you don't have to struggle how to organize your code in the right way. Angular much better for big teams because of that.

      @@eugenekhristo7252surprised you feel that way. I thought angular was much more intuitive my first go around and I love how opinionated angular is with organization of services and components. I haven't used react in almost a year now, but when I did use it, I felt like I had almost too many options for libraries and project organization which took time away from the useful stuff, like writing the app.

      If your looking for a guideline on how to structure code you can do that with React too. Just use the createReactApp CLI or if you want all the framework features you could use NextJS with React.
      If Clear structure was splitting Markup, Logic and styling that’s a highly debatable area 😬

      My Channel lol that’s the wrong conclusion. Use the right tools for the right job. I would say it depends on what team likes vs what your business needs are. I love both Angular and React and know when to pick one over the other.

    I like angular and vue js, React is over complicated is it me but mixing html and javascript like JSX feels like a backwards step in programming. I seen more and more junior dev want to just write code so they go react but don't understand much of the fundamentals of reactive or structure design coding. Angular far best for enterprise application.
    Vue js is my second go to. If you learn angular you know vue js

      Well I hear this splitting Markup , styling and logic into separate files bring the right way. Dan Abramov has an extensive talk about this topic, feel free to look it up. Basically you split concerns down into there own responsible units. Like with styled components your thinking of css as standalone components that can receive an input and modify its output. Markup is just the output of a functional component. So based on the input to the function considering it has no side effects you except it to return the same output which in this case is markup.
      So the React world does separate concerns in a functional manner not based on digital files.

    I prefer Angular, everything's separated and you can even bypass Redux and just use services for state management.
    I'm the sole Angular developer in a company where everybody else uses React. They're already complaining about the scalability of React themselves of which I don't run into any of those problems. Any sites that need to be good SEO wise, I use Vue for multi-page sites as it's small, quick and easy :)

Weirdly enough considering my comment here months ago, react feels much more like an extension of JavaScript, I have to google less and run into less errors with React and I can iterate much faster in it. But bear in mind I’ve been using react like full time since January and angular for a couple side projects

    What libraries are you referring to that are difficult to use in angular apps? I can't think of a single commonly used library that I haven't been able to just install and use straight out of the box in angular. I guess sometimes I have to install the "types" for the functions and classes in the library but that's usually just 1 more install command that the angular cli locates for you.

    • @TheStartupLab
      @TheStartupLab  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes if there are types for your given library. Then you might wrap methods in an angular service to then be used by the component. It’s just more about that there is a specific architecture into how you incorporate or work new libraries into your angular app. The cli does make it easy but there are some who prefer to roll their own project config. Hope this clears up our thoughts! Still love angular though ❤️

    • @TheStartupLab
      @TheStartupLab  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is a great point! Just picking apart their bolts, yes. Angular is the "web/mobile framework" and React is the "View Library". However, we wanted to keep this more about implementing your solution in React or Angular and what to expect vs line by line code comparisons.

    • @PL4YR
      @PL4YR 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for agreeing. Im also comparing these none stop especially the boot up times. E.g. react and vue will boot 40ms faster. But as you say everything has its preference. Its down to the business compatibility

    Thank you for your explanations, currenctly, I work with Angular, but, what do you think about scalability with vue.js or ember?

    • @TheStartupLab
      @TheStartupLab  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't say too much about ember as I've never worked with it. However, plenty of companies out there do indeed use it. Ultimately as long as a framework is embracing components, I would give it a thumbs up as this is the key to breaking large-scale applications down into small consumable pieces. After that, I usually look into what the community is around like (StackOverflow, Github, google groups ... it sucks to be a lonely person on an island) ... Vue is getting a lot of love these days... It almost feels like a new Angular1. Peers of mine who did not like the new way of Angular built on TypeScript are digging into Vue.... but again ... as long as it gets you from A to B!

    • @TheStartupLab
      @TheStartupLab  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      React might be the way to go if you are worried about being intense customization. I wouldn't say Angular couldn't fit the bill either, but you might find yourself having to jump through a couple of hoops if you are trying to do something really exotic. The best advice I could give is to take a small crack at both to get a feel. I don't think you can go wrong either way. - Dave

    • @TheStartupLab

      I work with both angular and react. if you are a very opinionated developer I'd say go with React. If you like the idea of just following the yellow brick road of an entire framework, then check out Angular. Also might depend on what you are building. I'd say React Native is ahead of things like NativeScript, and there are more resources for you to use in terms of native mobile.
      Angular is better suited for large applications, although new features rolling out will even let you make smaller Angular builds. It really is a matter of preference and taste. There isn't a "winner" as much as others would like you to think.

      Angular sets the path you must walk to get to your destination and hence makes a lot of choices for you. A framework called NextJS does this too in a way for React. So if your into just having a framework provide you all the tools to build your app both Angular and Next + React gives you that.

    U can do mvvm in angular you dont need reactive form and other crap. You decide your architecture the framework should not decide for you. And unlike react , you don't need to write html inside javascript. So there is clear separation of concern. View is not responsible for checking business logic , its business model job to do that and let the view know about how to present the data via viewmodel. Just create a viemodel and bind that to the view. Do data transformation logic and data validation inside a business model. Inject the business model to view model via the constructor. inject the dataservice api layer to model via constructor. If you need to call component B from component A, just expose an interface and let A create a viewmodel by inheriting from that interface and pass an instance of that viewmodel as a property binding to B. Thats it. Angular clearly simplifies the architecture and lets your write decoupled manageable application. Period.

    • @nikilk
      @nikilk 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rahul Mathew I disagree that separation of concerns = putting things in different files. React believes in separation of concerns at a functional level whereby functions are the smallest building blocks and markup is just a return value of a functional component. So when you wanna modify the markup of a particular component you navigate to the component and change it. Even styling with things like Styled components are standalone, whereby an input to styled component can change the output it returns which happens to be CSS.
      That is really separating concerns besides splitting stuff down into files.

      I think Angular has more of the yellow brick road to follow, so in a sense it can be nice for someone new to development or javascript
      React can be simple too! However the looser restrictions on React make it more important to find best practice and require a good understanding of state management and re-renders for performance. We will discuss this soon!

      Cross platform apps do come with their fair share of hoops to jump through, but the benefits to smaller teams far exceeds any sacrifices you have to make in the near term.
      AirBnB had been mixing in ReactNative, Native iOS, Native Android, and it got to the point where their needs became increasingly specific. On another note, AirBnB is not the small startup company they once were. They have grown to a point where they can invest in two really good experiences/teams in Native iOS and Native Android.
      You can read AirBnB's full post below where they wrote at length about why they made the move. The biggest thing you should take away from this video and AirBnb's move is that same shoe doesn't fit for all.
      You have to do whats best for you. Thats what AirBnB did.

      fralyx and also if your okay about sending more or less kilobytes over the wire on initial load. Angular has a much bigger payload at this point. Google did mention at I/O that they are working towards reducing this size.

    Who cares how many stars if you cannot simply do products.filter(x => x.IsPremium) in angulars views? Oh Oh you can but you need a custom pipe, and then to register it, and bind it, and make sure not to reference any typescript Type like an enum, and no lambdas or ANY JS/TS inside the directives, what is this? Silverlight ?

    • @CodingAbroad
      @CodingAbroad 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No you don’t. You can use es6 array methods straight from the ts file of the component. No custom pipe required.
