I don't have someone who's expert to check my writings, but I have God and Mama Mary along the way, I prayed hard and surrendered everything to God and ask the Blessed Mother to pray for me also. You greeted the parent by the name "John" wherein no name was mentioned in the role play card. Should I ask or at least validate the parent's name first?

I am sorry but I fail to understand why is OET testing our communication skills as a doctor with a patient when these skills have already been tested in the exams of our speciality that we have to given to get GMC in the uk. When it comes to doctors there are other communication also involved like doctor doctor, senior doctor junior doctor etc, then why OET testing the same again. For a super specialist giving OET it can become difficult to do the role play of a GP. This is ridiculous
In the 2nd case, while talking with the parent you mentioned good to see you again. I mean is it fine to say that? Because people visit hospital for illness so I am quite confused about that statement .Kindly clarify my doubts and your videos are helpful.

You can ask the “patient” in the prep time what his or her name is or what he or she wants to be called.
