Thanks Tom, always pick up pearls of knowledge watching your videos. Now I have to apply them!
Also good to hear that even the best have slow days.
Glad to help
Thank you for a realistic lesson on flies.
I really enjoyed this video you have helped me out a lot
Awesome video! Thanks!
Lovely vid!
Why not just use a long leader / extra tippet as insurance?
Thanks for a good instructional video. I really enjoyed it. God Bless n fish on! What recipe was the fly with the purple. That color is productively catching on n my area. Thank you.
Thank you Tom. Highly valuable!
Great video, very good information!
Great video lots of information thanks😊😊😊😊😊
Hey Tom, I’m a big fly fisherman here in Missouri around the rolla area. Here we have plenty of largues, smallies and trout but recently when trout fishing the only fly I see is brown caddis’s. When these caddis hatch and are all over the water I very rarely see many rises, but when I nymph I dont always have much success either. It is still pretty cold so the bug life is limited but I was wondering if you had any tips?
Go on a guided trip this summer that’ll answer all your questions and give you new stretches of water
Fantastic video. Thank you.
wawe , so much to learn , trout heaven , thanks
@20:00 min the reach cast ❤
Excuse me sir do salmon preform exactly like trout? Can this guide be used for salmon fishing? Thanks
Why do dry fly patterns that look exactly like the dun--never really become popular?
We always go back to the attractor patterns. Even with nymphs, that often are fairly decent imitations--we add something bright and shiny.
well in my limited river fishing experience (I'm more of a lake fisher) I want something that makes my "lure" stand out. so I tie flys that are slightly different (like shinier than the real fly) I like a fly with "flash" (tinsel, wire, flashabou, krystal flash etc.)
Tom, you're the best! Feel like my dad is giving me all his wisdom again.... However it was usually about girls!!!
Who ever says trout a dumb a dumb themselves trout ain't dumb lol
I don’t know what you mean by “dumb” but they’re easy to trick so I’d say they’re pretty dumb. Never met a smart fish in my life but if you’ve been stumped by a trout before, then you’re the literal idiot here.
Yes they are. If you had a hook in your lip attached to a line would you try run away so it hurts more? Exactly! Fish are dumb!
