+Eberhard Scheibe In fact I tied this kebari from a very old wet fly that was tied by my grand father decades ago. The only difference is that my grandfather used hen chicken feather and a barbed hook. I have never known the name of his pattern but as I have successfully fished this kebari in the mountain streams of Japan I have decided to name the "Yamato kebari".
Thank you cleekmaker00! You are right, the Yamato kebari is easy to tie and is a deadly pattern that I have been using on any stream I have fished in the past years.
Oh thanks. I should have known that. I'm familiar with many of his Lyric Pieces, but obviously not that one. It's almost French sounding. Love your posts. I'm fascinated by kebari flies and will tie some very soon and try them here in Australia. :-)
Thank you for watching my video Dennis! I tie my kebari just like I was taught by Japanese tenkara masters Dr. Hisao Ishigaki and Masami Sakakibara whom I have met three years ago. This way of tying flies comes from times when tenkara fishing was used by professional anglers as it makes ties stronger.
J'adhère tout à fait à ce type de montage simple et solide. Une vraie mouche de pêche comme on les aime! Merci pour cette vidéo.
Nice tying sequence. This Kebari looks similar like some of the most famous Softhackle Wets. I like to fish this flies a lot.

Beautiful presentation. Looks like an easy fly to tie, & deadly, too!

This is still one of the most effective Tenkara Flies

Vídeo show, music show!!!!!
Thanks for watching!
You do it reverse how most tiers do. Usually hackle ,build the body, then dub. Interesting

D'où viennent les saddles utilsées?
+Pierre Laurent J'utilise des saddles de chez Keough.
Christophe Tenkara Normandie Merci!
