The only difference is that my grandfather used hen chicken feather and a barbed hook. I have never known the name of his pattern but as I have successfully fished this kebari in the mountain streams of Japan I have decided to name the "Yamato kebari".

Nice tying sequence. This Kebari looks similar like some of the most famous Softhackle Wets. I like to fish this flies a lot.

You do it reverse how most tiers do. Usually hackle ,build the body, then dub. Interesting
