Was not familiar with Propitius piece. It is truly a lovely tremendous expression. This instrument is so grand yet SMOOTH. Thank you for all you do to find such instruments and to choose such wonderful compositions to perform on them.

Thank you for an exceptional concert. You obviously love playing on that particular organ. I watch you very carefully when you are playing. You are clearly invested and immersed in the Music you are playing. However, when you are playing these wonderful hymns, particularly an improvisation, your demeanour subtley changes. It is as if you have been touched by the hand of God, and the music becomes very personal, both to you and to us. Never underestimate the pleasure you give us all with your playing. Even though you don’t have a live audience there and can’t hear the applause and shouts of BRAVO from us, we appreciate and enjoy your playing. It is so refreshing, uplifting and gives us all something to look forward to on a weekly basis to help us get through these tough times.

His wife is also calm and collected while changing stops and paging. It may seem like very little, but it's an incredibly nerve wrecking job. My wife plays and I swear I'm more nervous than she is when I need to assist her on a big piece. Not only will I have to deal with the embarrassment of messing up, but also the wrath of spoiling a musicians performance!
Ik weet niet hoe groot het Orgel is, maar het heeft (door de bouwer) zeer mooi gekozen registers om vele soorten muziek op te kunnen spelen, prachtig.... Ook de opname-kwaliteit is zeer goed...!!!

Helaas kunnen we die niet meer live bewonderen, maar hopelijk zal jij zijn composities blijven voordragen. Samen met Klaas-Jan Mulder altijd mijn favoriete organist geweest. Dankzij jou zijn hier Feike Asma en Jan Zwart aan toegevoegd. En natuurlijk ook jijzelf. Ik hoop dat je het live-streamen van concerten kunt blijven doen ook in het post-Corona tijdperk. Jij (en de orgels die je bespeeld) bedient zo een ongelofelijk veel groter publiek dan je in de kerken kunt bedienen. Daar zal vast funding (sponsoren e.d.) voor te vinden zijn. Groetjes, Peter

I really do not know, but my suggestion is to continue the live coverage also in the post Corona era. With >2000 live views and >20000 total views it can be very interesting for sponsors to participate in Gert’s concerts. Bus also for churches to promote their faboulous organs

The words are by Sabine Baring-Gould and the music by Arthur Sullivan. It was a brilliant rendition I agree.
The tune name is ST. GERTRUDE, named for Gertrude Clay-Ker-Seyer. Sullivan was at her home in Hanford, Dorsetshire, England when he composed the tune in 1871 to match the lyrics of Onward, Christian Soldiers which Sabine Baring-Gould had written in 1864 while at a mission church in Horbury Bridge, Yorkshire, England.
