Way to go... lot's of work. I gotta 85 truck camper. I had to pull out some moldy luan, and just paint spots of the inside with antimold killer. I came at it from the inside, not the outside. Then I caulked over the old . 4 layers. It's the front corners that seems to leak most. I deleted the front window too. So far it's holding up against the rain 🌧️. We're getting bad monsoon in Arizona July 25 for at least 12 days. I'll have to leave it in God's hands for now.🙏
@@rhondastasiuk1086 Hi Rhonda.. I went to a local metal shop, and they cut a sheet of aluminum.. med light thickness. I think the measurements were about. 18x95. 35 bucks It's important to have the right molding for top and bottom. I'll send you some links, and try to get a picture. A picture is worth a thousand words.. It looks very professional. TTYL
Hey! I also have a 1985 Vanguard on a nissan 720 cab/chassis exactly like yours. I though it might be the only on left! I picked it up last fall. I spent a lot of time in it this summer. It's pretty much all original, so your channel is giving me some inspiration to make it the best it can be. Well second best to yours, anyway. I had to post some video of it soon.
Nice work! From Ottawa, ON area here. Just bought a 98 c class with cab and roof damage. Hope I don’t need to rebuild like yours but glad I found your video if I need. It’s suppose to be alumni framing so that should help. May I ask how many hours this would have taken you in total roughly?
Hi- Looks like you did a great job! What material did you use for the inside of the front of the cabover? The white material. I'm rebuilding that part in my '86 Toyota Dolphin... -Thanks
Thank you! We appreciate the positive feedback. It’s a flexible wood called luan or lauan. We bought it from a lumber store here in Calgary called Windsor Plywood, it comes in 4x8 sheets. We just painted it white. www.windsorplywood.com/product/bending-plywood/

I’d also like to remove that front window, what do you use to cover over it?

It’s always good to connect with owners of these rv’s! We look forward to seeing your content!
Saw one like yours in GP a few weeks ago but I think it was on a Toyota chassis. Good video. Keep them coming.
Thanks for the encouragement! We love the positive feedback. It’s always exciting to find RVs similar to ours.
