Great tips. I fish ponds almost exclusively. It’s nice to get helpful tips for us bank anglers. What was the situation with that first pond? It looked like you were fishing in someone’s back yard, on their private dock?
My brother lives in Cornelius Can you recommend some good places we can fish from Kayaks. I live in upstate NY. So I’m used to fishing Lilly pads milfoil and some rock. However I do like fishing smallmouth I grew up on the Mohawk River

Lol that is exactly what I was doing. The good thing is that it was my parents private pond so it’s all good

How did you know which bank was the bank theyd spawn on? Did you spot em previously or did you see something on satellite imaging that gave it away?
I have fished that pond before and know that they will spawn there. Plus it is a protected area for the most part on the pond
