Yamaha AS2J: First test drive

We just got our new AS2J up and running, pretty much all of the parts are the ones that came with the bike in 1971. It had only run 7000km when we got it, even the tires are the same as when it rolled out the factory.
We use synthetic petrol with 2-stroke oil added to protect the carburetors, they usually corrode when they have petrol in them over time but with this kind that doesn't happen! Granted it costs a lot more than regular petrol but it'll keep the bike in good condition longer!

I bought mine in 1981 and took my drivers license on it at the age of sixteen. I had it until two years ago when i sold to Norway. Me and two friends went on holliday to Gotland the same year i bought the bike, it was raining most of that week. Later in life i owned two different Harley Davidson and travelled North England and Scotland. So my first miserable experience didn´t deter me from riding bikes.

All 2 strokes smoke when cold, even with low smoke oil,, and if left to idle too long, its the build up in the crancase,,
