La 8 mai 1978, a avut loc premiera filmului “Pentru patrie”, film istoric românesc, care evocă scene din Războiul româno-ruso-turc din 1877-1878 (Războiul de Independență al României).

Ascultând acest cintec ,îmi aduc aminte cu drag de bunicul meu care a făcut frontul începând cu 1941, și venind acasă în "45. Și a fost decorat cu ordinul Mihai Viteazul . De asemeni îmi aduc aminte de un bătrân pe care l-am cunoscut cînd eram copil și care luptase in primul război mondial, și îmi povestea cît de greu a fost și cît de rău este războiul , dar citez acum din ce-mi spunea acest batrin " oricît de greu ar fi trebuie să-ți faci datoria să-ți ascunzi frica in interiorul tău și să no lași să te copleșească" . Pe această cale vreau sa ii aduc acestui om că și bunicului meu un omagiu , cineva nu ia uitat și se gândește la ei cu drag , chiar daca au dispărut dintre noi de mult timp.Acest batrin mi-a mai spus un lucru pe care toți ar trebui să îl știm și anume că " în viața ai doua mari iubiri, dragostea de patrie și dragostea de mama,". Amin și Respect.
