the whole gig is the very best you will ever hear of oasis live....columbia..some might say..live forever..headshrinker..rock n roll star.? to walk on stage and smash the opening track like that.?..just pure class..and then theres supersonic...sick vocals and lead guitar...just wow...the whole gig is just bangin and there is no other recorded live shows available that come close to how good this performance was...there is however one negative thing i can say about it and that is that i was not there to receive some form of permanent damage to my hearing

@@BoardLPs actually it was bonehead,guigsey and mccarroll that had the Grove to the song and was supposed to be an instrumental for Liam to walk on stage, all this before noel joined oasis....the real people said the lyrics of the start of the song and suggested the come on come on part and yeah yeah yeah part...Liam wrote one verse and noel another verse th second one...so basically it was the only song were they all contributed plus the real people.....but noel did steal other songs from the real people like don't go away and rocking chair and probably others plus histone songs or parts of songs from lots of other bands.

Best version ever, drums are mega the guitars are epic and loud and liams vocals are smooth and crisp but with a insane growl and the harmonies are perfect...flawless.
Sounds corny but Oasis has taken me through a lot of tough times by giving me the "fuck it, I'm unstoppable" feeling through their songs. This is a perfect example.

Liam's voice was so powerful back in the day. I purchased this on VHS when it was first released from the record store...back when those still existed. Brought it home, put it in, cranked the home stereo to 10 and just let my fuckin brain melt. Proper rock n roll
@@shredder9536 u used to be able to get certain plug point leads that u connect from plugging into the back or the vcr and then to either a hi fi unit or connect the lead from the vcr to the back of the hi fi speaker (which back then all vcr's and hi fi's were usually near each other in the living room) then swicth aux sound on vcr and, voila, the sound would be transfered to hi fi speaker from tv instead of coming out of tv, it would triple the sound of tv speakers and be clearer, as when u turned up the tv really loud in 90's, most tv's didn't have the quality and clarity of quality of todays modern tv's and the old ones usually sounded distorted and crackly loud and some would tremor when loud, TV's were huge units back then, almost as deep as they were wide and heavy, a big tv would usually take 2 people to move! Transferring the sound to hi fi speakers via certain leads gave it a bit of surround sound, like being at the gig plus much louder. The 90's :)

Tony McCarroll was perfect for the Definitely Maybe era. Alan White and Chris Sharrock are great drummers but Tonys style fits this era so much better. Always thought Columbia doesnt sound right when Alan played it.
I saw them at the Corn Exchange in Cambridge the year before this show. The whole gig was epically loud, but when they played Columbia it was like repeatedly being punched in the face by a massive wall of sound!👊😵🤯
This is one of the best songs ever. I play it in my car all the time, and I want to go nuts at the crescendo. Oasis is awesome, but, man, these guys suck live lol. They need to move and go crazy just like we are. How can they just stand there with little to no energy or spark. Still, great song. Pretty good performance.

The fuzzy, muddy guitar tone is beautiful - you can just swim in it. They moved away from it as time went on, but this is great.
I'm a massive fan of The Stooges and this reminds me of them. Noel has admired Iggy Pop in his interviews.
