Just yesterday, I had ALMOST half a million coins, but after spending it on some in-game items gotten with coin, I now have a lot less. This’ll be fun (note the sarcasm…. 🤣) Since I joined 2 new groups just yesterday after leaving 2 that barely had anyone in either group, I may have finally found a few new HELPFUL groups, so I feel like maybe this won’t take forever.
I usually just steal items and sell them at a outlaws refuge... Tips: Each NPC USUALLY has 3 items you can pickpocket, so if you're ok with rank 4 vampirism you can pickpocket 2 items then feed and loot the 3rd item since your chances go down with each successful pickpocket... another alternative to feeding is using the blade of woe if you have the Dark Brotherhood DLC, or if you're skilled enough you can just steal all 3 items. Khajiit racial passive includes a decent boost to pickpocket success. If you do receive a bounty, go straight to the outlaws refuge to pay it off then you can usually make the gold back by selling loot... If you pay your bounty to a guard or die to a guard you'll lose any stolen items. If you have access to High Isles, the companion Ember gives you a chance at pickpocketing a wallet which contains gold and thus doesn't take up a slot on your daily fencing limit, and the wallet can actually contain a good amount: usually between 120-300 gold, but twice i have received around 1150 gold! If you have access to the Thieves Guild (I got the passive during a ESO plus free trial) there's a passive that increases stolen item value at a fence by 2% per rank, AND there's a champion ability that I cant remember the name of that gives another 25% value (I think its 25, could be 10 or 20 as I've been offline for awhile)... And of course don't forget daily writs and guild traders, as they're just as good if not better.
The amount of work and research you put into your videos is amazing, thank you so much for all of it: you’ve made the game easier to understand and therefore easier to play!
Jake, trust me on this, you are a trader, embarking on the fishing thing you will soon realise that you run out of worms for sea fishing quickly; and you will find the quickest way to replenish said worms is slaying zombies in Alikre Desert, and honestly it is a grind. I only got this achievement within a week, because my guild supported me and sent me worms. If they were available at guild traders, I would have spent much mula to obtain them. That's the the thing, you get 1 or 2 for free if your lucky just collecting plants, they are worth nothing at NPC traders, however, anyone doing the fishing thing would give their left leg for your worms. Simply put; Why are traders not selling lowly worms, you all could make a fortune.
I got rich quick farming ayleid furniture plans, I ended up getting 2 at once and selling them for 5 million. The point about the outlaw refuge's is a good one. Just the other day I stumbled upon sone amazing deals by finding some treasure maps priced at 50-100 gold each, some of which were gold. I buy a lot in Ashes of Red Mountain, and I am part of Breaking the Wheel, jajajajaja. I hate Tamriels Depot. Vixxen prices are venomous. I don't know Brick Squad. To me the main rule is cash flow: I cut a lot my merch prices but my merchandise rotation is high, example: if a post 30 items today in a guildtrader after 30 days i sell 60-70% of them. Keep a super high valuable item listed in store by months is a wasted of time from my point of view and experience. I give a second chance to some really special first time expired items like some set valuable pieces [divines] but if they expired a second time in row they go to deconstructed option inmediatly. Market tastes are my way of trade, i don't wasted time betting on "strange" items.
This dude gets it. It's not about getting the most gold for every item sold. It's about turnover. Can you get a reasonable price for your items in a reasonable amount of time. If something takes 30 days to sell, how many other things could you have sold if it only took 3. And so on. It's geometric.
There are many, many items that sell for 100k on PSNA. Let alone 10K. Hot spot guild trader with a weekly fee is worth more than some people realize. Most of the pricier armour set pieces are going to be PvP sets as it has the least player percentage who regularly grind it. Example: base game Stygian - very popular, can struggle to sell for 10k. PVP Deadly strikes - selling any piece for 10k is too cheap. Any golded jewelry or weapons sell for 100k often.
For Overland/DLC/PvP gear, is it better to try and sell gear with a specific trait (ex: divines) and just sell items with that trait? Or is it better to sell everything and not care about the trait? And, does gear quality increase the price?
As a newbie trader, is it still profitable to sell things from popular sets that aren't cp160 just so that people can collect it for their stickerbook? Obviously changing pricing accordingly.
