Surely us Aussies don’t have an accent 😉. We say our r’s like the Boston’s in we don’t say our r’s. 😏. Thanks for liking how we sound…although similar to the New Zealanders they pronounce their i’s like u’s. Aussies pronounce fish & chips “fish & chips” & NZ pronounce the same word as “fush & chups”. Of course there are other subtle differences. 🫶
Or when they say Nissan, it's like they are saying Kneeson. I don't think I've ever heard an American say Subaru so I'll have to watch out for how they say that now too 😂

I kept thinking I heard blue Sparrow 🐦until I saw the car. It is fun to listen to English speaking ascents from all over the world to hear different pronunciations.

I moved to Wellington in 2011 and never heard this story. Saying that there are some truly dodgy characters , lots of gangs. Mongrel mob is one of them , I honestly thought it was a joke at first, then I spotted one! Had to laugh as they look truly terrifying, laughing was the only response !
