    The last thing I wanna hear on my flight from the captain is:
    "I have no clue what's going on but we're like gaining and losing power. So if you guys have any ideas feel free to let me know." 😭💀
    Enjoying the vid tho
    Fun fact: Commercial airliners have a lifetime of about 50,000,000 miles or 30 years.

    LIKE SO HE SEES: Hey Trev - the reason your engines aren't responding to your throttle is because you have the auto throttle on! At about 5:18 you can see a button in the center of the cockpit that says "ATHR" on it, which is the auto throttle. It's lit up green, meaning it's engaged. Note that it doesn't depend on if the autopilot is engaged - it's a separate system. If you press it, it'll turn the auto throttle off and the engines will be under your control. The reason it's so slow after takeoff is because it's programmed to fly certain speeds based on your flight plan, altitude and level of flaps you have deployed so it doesn't damage anything. So if you put your flaps up, the auto throttle will notice, and speed up.

    • @harrisonchandler877
      @harrisonchandler877 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hey man ive been playing this and hoping u might know whats going on my autothrottle doesnt even work even when its on and same with my speed and altitude autopilot have no clue why but u have any clue?

    • @yungkneez
      @yungkneez 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@harrisonchandler877 For the auto throttle to work, it'll only take over if it's engaged and the throttle on your joystick or whatever is between about 20-80% (that's why Trevor only had control of the throttle if it was near full or no throttle at all). Another thing is that the auto throttle and autopilot get their speed, altitude and heading from the flight plan by default. So if you didn't create a flight plan and just started flying, you'll have to enter all that manually and tell the auto throttle/autopilot to follow it. It's hard to explain here, so I'll see if I can find a video that explains it.

    • @yungkneez
      @yungkneez 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@harrisonchandler877 This is for a different sim, but the procedure/explanation is the same: th-cam.com/video/6JxCDSkZ8W0/w-d-xo.html. Only difference is when he says "pull on the knob", in FS2020, you just push on the bottom bit of the dial instead. Hopefully someone will make a video explaining it in FS2020 soon.

      @@harrisonchandler877 I'm not sure how this new simulator all works, but your assistance settings may have something to do with it too - try looking in there and anything that has to do with controlling the aircraft, set it to manual so the AI doesn't override you. Irfan Marazmizal v1 is the speed when they have to takeoff even if anything happens (e.g. engine failure). An exception to this rule is if the aircraft becomes unflyable. Anything before the v1 callout they would abort the takeoff. Rotation can happen before v1 but very rarely. The pulling up is with the ‘rotate’ call out.

    4:33 When you angle of attack gets higher, you have more of a chance to stall and air has a hard time getting into the engines. The engines warm up the air an use that as thrust, so when you don’t have much air, you don’t have much thrust. That’s one reason why planes fly into the wind.

  • @hyperspazz8082
    @hyperspazz8082 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    A pilot on any plane they fly does a checklist and make sure everything is working properly. Make sure everything is checked off before taking off. You should start doing that to get used to that part of the procedure. Just a suggestion. Love this series!

    The engines do not respond immediately because in any Jetliner, the engines take some time to Spool up... Once they spool up, it will start producing thrust.

  • @pilottyddesign4841

    Your engines were not responding because you had auto throttle engaged, when you went full throttle it went into TOGA (Take-off/go around) which is full thrust which over-rides the auto throttle.

    4:25 that‘s the Airbus autothrottle system, it basically gives you Idle-Cruise-Climb-TOGA (Takeoff/Go Around) it can be manually controlled but you wouldn’t do that exept for Final Approach

    The circles you’ve been seeing;
    Center-pivot irrigation (sometimes called central pivot irrigation), also called water-wheel and circle irrigation, is a method of crop irrigation in which equipment rotates around a pivot and crops are watered with sprinklers.

    That third seat is a jump seat. It is used by someone who isn't operating the plane and can be used by a pilot or sometimes a flight attendant. So if a pilot is trying to get home or needs to get to another airport he can "deadhead" a flight and sit in either the cockpit jump seat or in the cabin. Deadheading is when flight crew basically ride as passengers.

    It is in auto throttle mode so you will not be able to control speed manually. And altitude is set to 5000ft. So change it in the MCP panel and do some planning with routes in FMC to do proper flying.

    The reason for the overspeed is because you had your flaps out which you arent supposed to have mid air... Flaps are for take off (flaps 5 normally) and landing ...

    Usually for a jet of that size, V1 (rotation speed) is around 145-150kts but can vary depending on factors such as amount of passengers, fuel, cargo and others. Overall, solid takeoff though. Absolutely LOVE the look of this sim. Can't afford it quite yet but saving to get the full package with the controls and all. Great video

    4:30 You had autothrottle on and your altitude hold was on 5000; it was slowing down to 5000 to lose altitude. If you had the altitude higher than you were it prob would have sped up.
