Btw, pomegranates are deciduous in subtropical and temperate climates. Make sure you protect them in temperate climates, they don't like to be in freezing temparatures for too long. Make sure that they stay in a cool place in winter. Edit 17/03/2023: My pomegranates succesfully survived a southern Germany winter! They are currently starting to pump energy into their buds. The buds are turning reddish green and are getting bigger. Edit 15/12/2023: We had -14°C two weeks ago and the shoots and buds look fine right now, I am keeping them in an unheated greenhouse. I hope we won't get frosts below -20°C this winter. It's very rare but not impossible to have temperatures like these where I live. We had a similar frost like this last winter, so I believe they will be completely fine.

You can buy those readily mix from nursery or you can use top soil + compost + pearlite in a ratio of 1 part each. The problem is pearlite is pretty expensive here in malaysia, so normally I don't use full 1 part, substitute with some sands . Also top up 10% mix with manure( i using goat manure)

Would love it I could find a tutorial that explains the soil mixture and light during germination as well as watering frequency. One guy said he put his in the boiler room for warmth, but does that mean it was dark ?
In general, soil mixture during germination is not very critical, the temperature is. All you need is to maintain the medium moisture and top up water when the top starts to dry up. It can be completely dark , but once germinated , you need to expose it to light or artificial light
Can it grow if the seeds dry out first? I bought a pomegranate and saved the seeds and cleaned them off and put them in the hotwater cupboard to dry and forgot about them. what soil ur using for this project........cause i have planted seed last month in red, black soil with cocopeat and compost results seem not that great.....
No, anything from seed will not resemble the original fruit...it could be better or worse....if is the latter, then graft a know cultivar unto it...use as rootstock
My experience is you have to remove the hard seed coating. I had mine in warm, soil but nothing happening. It takes some considerable time probably two or three weeks before I could remove the hard coating. Food for thought.
i germinated a ton with only squeezing the juice out, minimally cleaning the pulp, soak in warm water 24hrs, then planted under shade cloth in late summer. pretty much all of them germinated
Also I set up their bed already. Sytrofoam egg carton. Cut in half. Poke holes in the egg half. Put on top of the cover. Fill the 12 egg compartments with soil. Just waiting for those seeds to dry.

What is the name of thia soil and how i can can get this
during germination, is the peat moss +perlite. Then when repotting to bigger pot, is the normal soil + organic compost
What kind of soil are you using?
Just normal gardening soil with rich compost. Pay attention to drainag. Make sure is porous, you can add in perlite to improve drainage.,
