I live in America and I always associated a hangman’s noose with the old west, now I did not see the comment , but I am going by others comments! But anyone who thinks that you are a racist is crazy !! You are such a sweetheart! Not a mean bone in your body! America is so PC ! Nat you did no wrong, it’s the person who has a problem! I'm really sorry that someone posted nasty comments on your video, I'm with you that when I thinks of a hangman's rope I think of Halloween and graveyards. Obviously that person is the one with the issue. Great job on this set. I think I might do something similar but I only have the purple 9D

I saw your video with that noose and as a person of color I can understand why they made that comment. However, when you did the set I didn’t associate it in that way. It’s all about perception. The fact alone that you addressed your unknown mistake still speaks Volumes! Although I wasn’t offended by it I appreciate you even taking the time you care enough about your audience to apologize!! Exactly! In the UK we used hanging to end the lives of murders and other criminals etc so that's what we associate it with. I try to educate myself on black history in America, it was horrific but I still don't connect those things instantly, maybe it's because i live in Scotland. This was a horrible thing to assume and make nasty comments on, you can tell that Natalie didn't mean it that way.
People are just so sensitive and they fail to realize not everyone is from the same area. I'm glad you addressed it and moved right past it as well. They will get over it 🤷🏽♀️. Your sets are beautiful and I honestly look forward to your videos. Sometimes I'm like ”Nat hasn't uploaded a video today 😡” 😂😂 like I know you upload on weekdays and rest on weekends. I am a new subbie who absolutely loves your artistry. I also see a noose and I am immediately hurt. I don't hold you responsible for not knowing that it is a culturally offensive image. I think that's extreme, as you said. It's not in the past it's a symbol of so much that is still perpetuated here in America. I waited for your response and literally closed my eyes. I was thinking, "Ugh! There's going to be something insensitive said and then I have to give up my new found awesome nail crush." But you asked and you apologized for the offense but only that which you had a part in. That was crazy responsible! Thank you for that! I'm hoping we can all do more of that. I was thinking something similar. There's no reason for Natalie to know the negative background of a noose as she is NOT from the states. Shoot, it seems even some people who are not from the south don't even see it as a potentially negative symbol. I think Natalie did a fabulous job explaining her side of the situation and even said ignorance isn't an excuse. What an amazing woman, right?!??! Bravo to her. I really liked this set Nat!!!

Ignore the haters. They are living in the past. This is the "now" and anyone living in the now knows a hangmans nooze is very much related to Halloween as are witches cauldron's, witches hats, black cats n ghosts. I love your work n never tire of listening to your channel. Keep up the good work. Xx

So sorry you had to deal with someone nasty. As an American, I can assure you, a hangman’s noose is a common Halloween image here. I cannot fathom why that individual would assume you’re racist based on a set of Halloween nails. Even taking into consideration American and Black history, why would you be expected to know when you AREN’T an American? Please ignore trolls like that and continue to create amazing designs. I absolutely love this set! It looked so different in the thumbnail and at the end. The colors were so untraditional and I really liked that. After watching it was weird because it was green that you started with, idk I just loved the way it looked in the end! As far as the "hater" goes on your other video that I Loved as well, a noose is not solitary to one race. For crying out loud they were hanging women in Salem for thinking they were witches long before the other mentioned. Even Disney did in Hocus Pocus. When it's this time of year we all know that's it's for Halloween. Anyone who takes it personally is just looking to get attention and cause some drama. Shame on them!

The set you mentioned in the video was one of the very first videos I watched from you. I saw the noose and being a black American initially thought “ohhhh” but then I realized that’s AMERICAN history and these were HALLOWEEN nails not KKK nails. You’re clearly not American so I didn’t even think of it more past that. I just kept watching videos. Had there been some other very specific references like the confederate flag, or a Klan outfit I would have likely commented asking why but I’m not gonna be offended over it, people have a right to feel however they’d like. I would just find someone else to watch. 🤷🏽♀️ btw love all your videos, you make me smile EVERY single time! ❤️

Don't worry about the hate. There is always going to be that one overly sensitive person out there, that looks for reasons to be offended; so they can speak their mind. I do associate the hangman's noose as part of Halloween. If you look at the first song from Nightmare Before Christmas, the tree has singing skeletons on nooses. Anyway, I enjoyed your video, and the nails are wonderful!

I'm sorry someone was nasty to you Nat. That type of stuff did happen in American history but not to the extent that some make out. And it was so long ago. And it happened to white people as well as black people. (doesn't make it right either) What they don't seem to realize is that the wild west used hangman's nooses all the time for criminals so it goes back even further than slavery. It is a symbol of graveyards and spooky and Halloween. It seems in America that people are taking everything to extremes and are offended by EVERYTHING nowadays. Just be you and do you and dont worry about any of the extreme negativity. You cant please everyone 100% of the time and will go crazy trying to please everyone. Nice set as always.
