Califiori shares more similarities with Saliba and Magalhaes with his attributes than Guehi does, and as such should offer more security and confidence in a back 3 than the Palace defender.

No to Gueihi, he's not better than Kiwior who I think is average. We're not short of good defenders - but a swap for Kiwior with Calarfioni could make sense. Don't forget Timber, who is a superstar, will be like "a new signing" in the defence. I'd prioritise signings in midfield - Fofana from Monaco - and upfront. Williams would be great but he's not better than Martinelli. However, if we get Williams I can see him and Martinelli swapping between the wide left and #9 postion. A front three of Williams, Martinelli and Saka would be fast and destructive.
The comparison made between Omari Hutchinson and Reiss Nelson is very unfair. Omari is a much better player in all aspects and the only reason he did not play for the 1st team was because he was too young. In other words, he was younger than Reiss Nelson and viewed as the better one of the two by Arsenal. Check their videos. Omari was out of this world when he was still 9,10,11 and can only get better with age. You will find that out in the new season. It is not an exaggeration to say he was THE BEST academy product ever! He was that good, which was why Chelsea bought him. However, as we know, this is a club that is not known for giving chances to its academy players. Many of them left because of that, e.g. De Bruyne, Salah, Abraham, Rice, etc. Omari seems to have found himself in the same position, hence why he probably joined Ipswich.
I’d prefer Calafiori over Guehi. We have 4 right footed defenders who all expect minutes already. Tierney and Tavares don’t have futures at the club with all due respect to them, so I’m not including them as the are both surplus to requirements. That leaves 3 left footed defenders and that’s Including Zinchenko (who actually a midfielder). Going deeper, we have only 2 left footed ‘natural defenders’. Gabriel and Kiwior. Getting Calafiori being more balance to our defence also means Timber and Tomiyasu can both be used on their ‘natural’ sides.
He looks like a really good player, but we definitely do not need Calafiori. I'm sure he won't want to be backup and I wouldn't replace either White, Gabriel or Saliba for him. So it's a pointless, expensive buy.
