Shari Nelson - Thank you for the lovely comments. Glad the video helped clear things up for you.
To answer your question: No, it is not necessary to change the threading for the ending thread. Your best bet is to make sure the floating selvedge is weighted separately... and has enough weight to keep it from pulling in after laying in the weft thread (loosely) on a diagonal.
I have knitting machines and frequently use the claw weights (like you see at 2.46), but you could substitute pill bottles filled with quarters. Good luck and let me know how it goes. Kate

I'm so glad I found your video! Thank you so much - I did my samples on my table loom and threaded my floor loom (20 years ago) and then Life got in the way. I am just now picking it back up. Thanks again.

Thank you for showing this. You have explained the technique so clearly, I know I can do it. I have read how to do this, and watched other videos, and just got more confused - you made perfect sense, and I know exactly how to proceed with my first Krokbragd project

Thank you very much for the prompt reply. I have only two boat shuttles, and they are not even the same size. I figured if I have to purchase a couple, I may as well get three the same. And the ones I have feature pointy (kind of) ends, so I like the shape of the ones used on this video.

Hi, Nancy. Thank you for your kind words. By the way, when you set up your Krokbragd project, please be sure to use a "floating selvedge" on each side.
It is best not to cover too much in one video, so I only touched on one aspect of Krokbragd. There is so much more that can be done... Have fun and let me know how it goes.. TALKING THREADS MEDIA - Kate Jantz-Koprivnik, Producer

TALKING THREADS MEDIA: Hello shsh128. The shuttles are nothing special. They are regular boat shuttles that hold a 5 or 6-inch bobbin.
