Your best bet is to make sure the floating selvedge is weighted separately... and has enough weight to keep it from pulling in after laying in the weft thread (loosely) on a diagonal. I have knitting machines and frequently use the claw weights (like you see at 2.46), but you could substitute pill bottles filled with quarters. Good luck and let me know how it goes. Kate

Thank you very much for the prompt reply. I have only two boat shuttles, and they are not even the same size. I figured if I have to purchase a couple, I may as well get three the same. And the ones I have feature pointy (kind of) ends, so I like the shape of the ones used on this video.
