I first watched it in January this year and every month since then. It is alway in my top two favorite, with the other being "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim, It is my other favorite with Park Seo-joon. I also love watching Taehyung (V) be excellent in his one and only (so far) acting role. They gave him a very important role and he made them happy and I imagine that the BTS brothers were all over him wanting to know what some of the favorite actors were like and for being a total fanboy in the series for PSJ. 💜😂🤣💜

I wish I had a glimps on them while they are not popular. I remember I watch Mama 2016. I even ignored BTS performance and and even said who is BTS when they got daesang artis of the year 2016. Thanks to Jin who participate in Lotj that bring me to BTS.

Hwarang will always be my best drama in terms of historical story. The drama was well written, costumes were beautiful and the locations were properly chosen. Putting beautiful and good looking actors in a drama is really amazing! The performances of all the actors were exceptionally great. All of them giving their 100% in their performance! The OST of this drama is remarkably beautiful and well chosen. All the songs are really beautiful and pleasing to the ears. You would want to hear all the OST over and over again!

Out of all the ost... I really get goosebumps when listening to hwarang spirit... Because I didn't watch hwarang for the characters... I watched it for hwarang... The fact that they lived as hwarang and not as their individual self and all were equal when in the scl... That was best part.... Hearing to the hwarang spirit.... Gives me a sense of belonging and pride.... I am proud of hwarang ❤️❤️

i watched this drama 4 times and I still love it... I mean, look at the amazing cast, storyline and music we got in this drama! Hyunsik and Seojun as the main characters is really my favorite duo. It's breathtaking, heartwarming and interesting for the danger, the love and the freaking friendship!!
one of the best historical kdrama with all the flower boys. You cannot get off your eyes from them. the sword dance part, you have to repeat it 6 times hahah because need to focus at one by one, too cute too handle :P

I started from black pink songs to bts then found out tae has done some Kdrama and I watched it ..I liked the king in the this drama I searched about him then got addicted to kdramas 🤣
My thoughts on the drama: _SPOILER ALERT_ Hwarang was a drama I had initially tried to watch when it aired but couldn’t get past the first episode (plz don’t fight me, it was the first Kdrama I had tried and I didn’t even know any of the major actors or Park Seo-joon for that matter). Well a week ago I started it again after suddenly remembering Park Seo-joon was in it (this was after watching over 80 kdramas and knowing familiar famous Korean actors) Boi was I drawn in. In the first few episodes I found myself constantly sobbing for a dead character (Mak Moon) that I didn’t particularly like. But now I do. And now I miss him and cry nearly every time they bring it up. I’ve always been a fan of historical kdramas so this Kdrama definitely was up my alley. Costumes were beautiful. I thought they did a great job with the wigs, sometimes they are rather obvious but I thought they matched rather well. Especially Sun-app’s groomed long hair wig without the Hwarang head band. 👌 if u know u know Female lead wasn’t terrible (she just wasn’t my fav since she cried a lot) but I found myself liking her as the show went on. Sun-woo and Ah Ro’s chemistry was much too cute not to like. Really random but i thought I’d mention it. U know when Sun-woo got the kings bracelet and then he ran out in front of the queen’s parade around the first few episodes? Well🤭, I thought they were gonna do the king switch a roo back then. I thought the guard was gonna see the bracelet and be like “ur majesty!” Or something 💀 but then it _somewhat_ happened in the much later episodes Princess Sook-Myung, I continually rooted for her. I loved her scenes, especially the ones with Sun-woo as their acting was great and I never knew what would happen. Fun fact about me: while I’m sure a lot of you didn’t want the _heartfluttering_ moments between Sun-woo and Sook-Myung to happen since it would cause conflict and pushed Ah Ro aside, I was _living for it_ . I’m a big fan of the jealousy trope in kdramas also the “why am I feeling this way, I don’t even like him” trope😏 I thought Jwi Dwi did great as well. It was very interesting for him to take on a somewhat double-sided character as I never knew how he would react to each situation. It was also funny since the last thing I had seen him in was _Strong Woman Do Bong Soon_ so he was very serious in this drama compared to the other.😂 The Ban Ryu/Soyun side romance was one of my favorite side romances ever. It was much too cute to just be a side romance. I couldn’t get enough of Ban Ryu smiling since he didn’t smile often in the drama🥲 Fight scenes were top notch. Which I enjoyed.👌😳 The ending? Well I was left conflicted between who should be king. My reasons for how I predicted it would be Jinheung and not Sun-woo: 1) They never mentioned anything remotely about Ah Ro’s feelings towards being “queen” (we would assume she would still marry sun-woo) which this usually is conflicting in dramas cause the other lead usually wants a _normal_ life. 2) King Jinheung is an actual king in history so it would make more sense to have the show end with a historical king on the throne rather than end it with a fictional character Overall I very much enjoyed this drama and would definitely recommend it🥰
I don't know anything about Korean history but I wanted Jidwi (king Jinheung) on the throne... cause he lived his life hiding and never got treated as a king.. and i thought he would be a great and selfless king who cares for his subjects, because when the queen suggested on killing seonu as he's also a sacred bone and would claim throne, he refused. Also he wasn't happy about that peasant who got killed at the inn... I would've been so frkn mad if seonu got the throne instead of him.
I am FINALLY watching Hwarang for the first time!! OMG!!! I am so angry at myself for waiting this long!! So many of my favorites are in this Kdrama. And it is soooooo cute... Mak Moon/Seon Woo being killed broke my heart though. If he had been my big brother, I would have been so much better off than my REAL big brother. I really wish they would have been able to reunite. But then, I guess there wouldn't have been much of a show, huh? Integrating some historical Korean history and tying it with the modern day is so refreshing and enlightened!!! LOVE THIS!!! And V... OMG!!! How adorable is he!!! They made his character so much like him. Sweet, kind, inquisitive... BEAUTIFUL!!!
It was so sad when Tae died, I rewatch Hwarang and whenever it goes to the part where Tae died, I cried so hard, good thing it was a drama, if it was real life, my life would’ve ended.
I went for TaeTae and then ended up staying for the others ;-; I lovvvvVVVvvEeeeeE this dramaaaaAaa so muchhhhh I wish they would all make another togther :'D

I am FINALLY watching Hwarang for the first time!! OMG!!! I am so angry at myself for waiting this long!! So many of my favorites are in this Kdrama. And it is soooooo cute... Mak Moon/Seon Woo being killed broke my heart though. If he had been my big brother, I would have been so much better off than my REAL big brother. I really wish they would have been able to reunite. But then, I guess there wouldn't have been much of a show, huh?
Integrating some historical Korean history and tying it with the modern day is so refreshing and enlightened!!!

It was so sad when Tae died, I rewatch Hwarang and whenever it goes to the part where Tae died, I cried so hard, good thing it was a drama, if it was real life, my life would’ve ended.
