People so often use this scripture to push a works based salvation. And I gotta admit I' have in time gotten caught up with it. But part of me knew that their explanation was lacking, simply because it went against the fundamental truth of salvation, that it is by faith and through Grace.
BUT none the less many many many men are so confused by this passage. They apply all sorta of things to it, that just can't be true when you look at the foundation of how someone is saved.
Thanks for your videos. I always come looking for you, not because you'll tell me what I want to hear. It's just that I know you know the truth, it rings correct in my spirit when I hear it. This passage has confused many of people and driven many away and off into works. Thank you again!

Hypnosis explains that there is a conscious and sub conscious mind. Like a well and a bucket the sub conscious perceives everything records it. The conscious mind the bucket draws from the well. Like bit torrent one can throw tons of information at the mind and the sub conscious puts it together then the conscious mind draws it out and it all makes sense. A very good spiritual analegy backed up by spiritual meaning of oil in other verses ,such as when prophets poured oil on a person's head in the old Testament .The pouring of oil is spiritual meaning that the person has now been chosen for spiritual work as king or profit and blessed with Spirit of God . Scripture interprets scripture as you have shown .

Fascinating that one can get the story back to front.
The 5 brides made got inside but never got to sit at the table. They had refuse to share and were arrogant.
The parable does tell us what happened to the other five; only that even when the door was shut in their face they remain faithful and stood there.
Perhaps best not be pious and inside the church, but maintain your faith and be steadfast
And if you have some oil; share it.

I can understand your thought here. This story, however, is a parable - a metaphor - and in the culture at the time they were told to make a point. The point here is that each and everyone of us need to «buy oil», meaning get our own relationship with God - and that no other person can give you a relationship with God (give you oil).

I agree with you about the meaning of this parable. This parable is similar to the parable of the talents. We need to grow in the spirit by the fruit of Love which the spirit produces. Only those born again and obedient can produce this fruit. Those who do have the Spirit which means, have been obedient to the gospel, will be known by Jesus and will have grown in Love, those who do not have the Spirit, are not known by Him and will be rejected.

    5 virgins weren't ready 5 were.
Is a pre trib rapture reference.
The Galilean wedding tradition goes as follows:
1)the father of the groom alerts the groom it's time to receive his bride.
2)The shofar is blown to alert those who were watching and waiting for the groom to receive his bride.
3)The crowds that were prepared follows the groom to the bride's home.
4)The bride is also prepared and appears to the groom and crowd.
5)The crowd lifts the bride in the air placing her on a carriage being lifted and carried to the groom's fathers home for the wedding ceremony.
6)Those who's lamps were full made it all the way to the marriage ceremony as everyone enters the father of the groom's home, the door is shut for 7 days!
No one enters and no one exits for 7 days, while the ceremony and feast takes place.
The Galilean wedding tradition is the key example if the scriptures talking about
    -keep watch be ready
-he comes as theif in the night
    -the trumpet call
-one was taken one was left
-full oil lamps(spiritfilled) vs half full/empty (lukewarm)
-only the father knows not even the Angel's know when to call his bride home
-shut out not allowed to enter

My brother, I'm going to have to strongly disagree with this interpretation. I hope you will hear me out. The parable of the virgins is the middle of three parables talking about being ready and is the only one that mentions oil.
This was not talking about unbelievers not being ready. We know this because at the beginning of chapter 25, Jesus says that these parables are about what the KINGDOM OF GOD will be like WHEN he returns. All three parables are about the servants of Jesus. All three had servants who did their work and servants who neglected their work. These are BELIEVERS.
In that context, obedience to Jesus' commands and living a repentant life loving God and man are non-negotiable terms of the New Covenant. The unfaithful who live for themselves and their lusts will not enter heaven. "If you live for yourself in this world you will lose your life, but if you give up your life in this world you will save it for eternity". As in these parables, the unfaithful are locked out of the Kingdom, cut in pieces and thrown into the darkness where there is wailing (mourning as someone who has made a terrible mistake) and gnashing of teeth (an expression of anger at God).
This doctrine of "once saved always saved" is a false teaching. Jesus never said it and neither did the New Testament letters. The reason for this is a misunderstanding of faith. In truth, it is impossible to separate believing from doing. We AUTOMATICALLY live out what we truly believe. Like a tree producing fruit. Trusting Jesus' words changes how we live as soon as we believe (forgive or you won't be forgiven, God cares about the heart not outward appearances, don't fast for show, don't give for show, those who exalt themselves will be humbled and many more.
To illustrate: If I give someone a debit card and I tell them it's loaded with $1,000 and to go please buy some takeout for dinner, but they are afraid the card won't work then they have not believed what I told them. And because they didn't believe, they didn't do as I asked which is called disobedience. So their lack of trust resulted in their lack of action. It is that simple.
Only those who truly trust and love Jesus and God will keep the commands of Jesus, live the way God wants and enter heaven. Mat 7:21 - “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter."

Being a Christian doesn't mean you won't sin or struggle to obey. You're getting into works. It doesn't say a true follower will ALWAYS do as he commands. It's says he will do as he commands.
Also, if God saves someone and puts his spirit in that person he will not repent of it and remove his spirit if they disobey or everytime they disobey, that's why Paul says do not grieve the holy spirit. So when he comes back to get his church, he won't reject someone who has the holy spirit just cause they haven't full and perfectly obeyed every command and did their good deeds. How can he reject himself? He can't. Because the day a person puts faith in Christ's work, the holy spirit and their spirit become one just like Paul compares it to a man a wife. The covenant in christ is dependant on christ not us...obviously a true Christian will exhibit specific traits of regeneration and its not always easy to tell, but over time, it will mostly likely become more clear. A believer desires the things of God, righteousness, peace, to do his will, but does not always carry it out. Paul admitted this struggle too. There are a lot of Christians that are babies and carnal, but the holy spirit will not allow them to live totally in sin without regret or sorrow. And he is patient. If a believer continues to push this with a seared conscience, I believe this is where the Bible talks about the death of a believer and saved by their death.
If all this is false, and our salvation depends on us being completely obedient, then christ died in vain. If we can do it ourselves, there is no need for Christ's death. No true believer should be afraid of the certainty of their salvation based on how obedient he is. But he should naturally have doubts and search it out if he is not making a practice of or efforts at following the commands. As the word says we should test if we are in the faith.
I haven't heard a testimony yet of a believer having these struggles and feeling the grief over his sin and then coming to find he wasn't saved. It's usually those that are having the appearances and works of faith, or only head knowledge of the truth that have never really had conviction and repentance over their sin leading to salvation. It's hard for us to tell of anyone because we can't see the heart as God does, which is why we can only account for ourselves and not try to draw conclusions about others unless revealed to us by the holy spirit about someone. Not that we can't have doubts.

I'm sorry none of you have a clue what this parable is about.
The answer can be found in the Jewish wedding. Till you understand this you will never interpret this parable correctly. One when a young man finds a bride he will ask the father of the bride for his daughters hand in marriage. If the father agrees he will set a dowry that the groom will pay. In the case of the church the dowry was Yeshiluas life on the cross. Two once the diatry is paid. The groom will visit the bride and pour two cups of wine sitting across from each other at the table. If the bride drinks from the cup then the marriage is ratified. She has accepted the groom to be her husband. This drinking of the cup we reenact every time we take the Lords supper. Now the groom leaves to prepare a place for the bride.
The ten virgins parable is about the bridesmaids not the bride. It says so in the text. Who are the bridesmaids? The tribes of Israel that accept Yeshua during the first half of the tribulation. This is why they have oil. The Holy Spirit. Is Yeshua a polygamist? What he is marrying ten brides at once? Nowhere in the bible does it say the church are the brides of Christ. It says bride. Singular one bride. Once the bride drinks from the cup by Jewish law they are legally married . Yeshua would have to get a divorce if he discarded half of his bride. Do you see how this parable is not about the bride. Its the bridesmaids. This is a warning to the Jews in Israel midway through the tribulation when the gleaming harvest rapture occurs along with the two witnesses and the 144k sealed evangelists. This is Israels last chance before the Antichrist moves into the temple and declares he is God.
Bridesmaids are always referred to as virgins in the bible and the Jewish wedding. Married women are never invited to be a bridesmaid. Only in western culture does this happen. The wheat harvest which occurs three and a half years prior to this parable is the rapture of the bride. Problem is you don't understand the four harvest of God. One first fruits of old testament saints, two wheat harvest of gentile church three midtrib harvest of gleaming which is bridesmaids four is the four corners harvest these Israelites do not go to heaven the do receive immortal bodies but join Yeshua on earth in the establishment of his millinial reign. God taught us the four harvest because he wanted to have four harvests of souls. The 24 elders in rev 4 is the first fruits harvest. The church is the great multitude at the sixth seal.

Matthew 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Jesus stressed the importance of being ready and not being deceived. He wasn't telling unbelievers to be ready or not be deceived. He was speaking to his followers.
Many have taken upon themselves to be scholars and teachers without having perfect understanding of the truth. They will parrot what they've been taught in their church or "Christian" university or theology seminary, but in their desire for others to hear them, they have errored from the truth.
Jesus explained to his followers, when they asked him of the future, what would transpire until he returned the 2nd time. After explaining and telling them to be ready and not deceived, he taught three parables. All three involved faithful and unfaithful servants. Not believers and unbelievers. Again, this was to ensure those who heard him would be ready and not deceived
You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free

Scripture says that a day is coming, a famine, not of bread or water, but of hearing the Word of God.
Jesus said that blessed are they that hear the Word of God and KEEP it.
Jesus spoke of a wise servant that prepared and distributed a word in season to those lost in the commotion, likened to the preparation of both Joseph and Obadiah.
As in the days of Noah, Jesus advised to lay up in store for a similar metaphorical time, where he was tasked to bring in all types of food to sustain every creature in the ark.
Conclusion: The oil is The Word of God.
Whatever level of internal sustenance one can maintain from memory is the volume in the lamp.
The extra vessel with the lamp is your physical Bible. You cannot let go of that because you need it yourself.
Going to buy one if you didn't heed Jesus' other parables such as "return not to your house" "take nothing out of your house" or "go not up to the rooftop".... that might become perilous.
Make sure you always have your, or a Bible on you at all times, just think about Moses' words, bind them on your hand, as frontlets before your eyes...
If you are a person "of means", please take up this charge, millions are going to need it.
One day, we will rejoice , but with sadness also, as God is not willing that ANY should perish.

The Bible says the path is narrow and few find it.The oil provides the light that lit the path. The wise virgins 'oil ' is used to light the path that will lead them to the bridegroom, the wise can't give away the oil because they need all the light the oil will provide to light the path. All 10 were virgins all 10 were waiting for the Messiah. The wise readied themselves, the unwise did not and asked the wise to give them the precious oil they needed to keep their lamps burning which would have lit their path, but the oil that was needed for light was too precious to part with to give it away for it for was also needed by the one who possessed it.5 went out into the world to buy the oil they needed .We were told to leave the world ,the oil they needed is not sold by merchants. The 5 who remained went into the marriage supper the other 5 found their way to the door to the supper but not allowed in Jesus didn't know them because they were not of his flock.

      You are wrong too:
Dude you have NO IDEA what you are talking about. Are you that dense? What is a bridesgroom doing with 10 VIRGINS at midnight????? DUHh
The lamps are the virgins vagina. The wick is the pubic hairs. Trimming the wick means to trim their pubic hairs. The oil is lubrication. When the 5 girls who had to go to the market to buy lubrication came knocking on the door, the reason the bridegroom did not let them in and pretended to not know them: They were making a lot of noise pounding on the door. He did not want the neighbors to hear or see what was going on. That is why he said I don't know who you people are, please go away. The parable does not end there it continues. To sum the next part up, it is nothing but recruiting more girls, recruiting more TALENT. TALENT doesnt mean just money. Why doyou think actors are called TALENT. TALENT IS A PERSON. In this case talent are virgin girls.
Most of the parable from Jesus have hidden sexual meaning. I'll give you hint , read between the lines, of one of the other parables. Which one of the parables is about a BDSM? That is bondage, discipline, dominance and submission, sadomasochism.
The part where two guys are hanging out at a tomb, then the swines trample over them. These sickos were necrophiliacs. Jesus mission was to save these mentally warped type humans.

The marriage is for the church; those who believe, both Jew and Gentile. For there is no distinction between Jew or Gentile; black or white; male or female. It is based on faith. All Israel is not Israel. The descendants of Abraham are those who believe and not those of the flesh.

This parable is about consecration and sanctification. What does being “wise” look like? That is the question. He is talking to Christ believers before during and after this parable. He is talking to people who already have the new covenant. Not those that don’t. He is telling them to see that you don’t backslide from Him and fall back into the world’s culture. Over and over Jesus tells us to follow His teachings and fulfilled (meaning more fully filled, not finished/obsolete) law.

The gate to heaven is narrow, and few will make it because of hyper grace theology. No. Jesus gave us marching orders. For helping endure and maintain our own faith and for showing the way to the lost. Stop sleeping in grace, wake up, get yourself ready and pass it on.

Christ finished the work, but he never forces you to have a lamp that is filled with oil. In the end of days those that will be saved will be those that were wise with their time and made sure to have oil in their lamps.. Matthew 7:21
[21] “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
You have to do the will of the Father to have oil in your lamps. One cannot have the Holy Spirit if one does not do what Jesus literally said.. doing the will of the Father. God will not force you to be saved. He expects you to be ready and have your lamps filled with oil, or you cannot enter.

These are not the bride, they were brides mates. This is talking about during the tribulation period and the Jews, not all of them will be saved, 5 wise have believed in Jesus, 5 will not. The Jews knew the oil is important in the temple, so it will not run out, but they didn’t even take oil at all. The church, us the bride are in heaven during this time.

10 virgins are the 10 tribes of Israel scattered to other nations to complete the 12 tribes during Pentecost in Acts 2 but they were scattered again because of Saul's persecution. They are not the body of Christ that started with Paul in Acts 9.

Theory. What if the 5 unwise virgins was actually testing the other 5 who was considered wise? With faith they would have had enough oil. Psalms 23:5 my cup runneth over. Did jesus not say the works I've done you will do, and even greater works? The story of bread & fish he fed thousands through faith. So did the wise ones do the will of the creator? Matthew 25:35 " you seen me hungry and you fed me " now you must remember many will be told you never knew me.

If the oil represents the Holy Spirit then how do you explain this parable that says the oil (Holy Spirit) is consumed (burnt in a lamp) can be purchased or given by one virgin to another? If the oil really is the Holy Spirit then doesn't that mean the Holy Spirit is a consumable commodity and not a person and not God? So how then can you explain other scripture that shows the Holy Spirit is a person and is God? The parable is about being ready and being ready means being Born Again by the Holy Spirit and overcoming so that they are doing God's will at the end which is the enduring fruit of being born again.

  • @martinea199
    @martinea199 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

Have to disagree with this one. The foolish ones had some oil for a time but it burnt out. They were also waiting for the groom to return and in fact all virgins fell asleep. They are all called virgins which is a symbol of purity. If oil is the spirit and covenant then the foolish ones had oil for some time until it burnt out.
The problem wasn’t that they never had oil but they didn’t have enough of it.
So it’s clear that the foolish ones were saved but didn’t remain faithful to God. Therefore the oil can’t be eternal life since you can’t loose something that’s eternal. I think the oil might symbolise faithfulness, this is because they couldn’t borrow the wise ones oil. And you can’t borrow someone else’s faithfulness. I think the fact that they all had torches meant they were given a duty/calling and they needed the oil (faith) to keep their torches shinning. Going to buy more oil it could mean studying the word again since faith comes by hearing the word but they had to spend some significant time to produce faithfulness (a process not just initial faith) during this time they were unable to fulfil their calling (light their torch) and missed the grooms return.
I don’t think unbelievers would be given a torch or oil or even have their torch shine for a while.
Jesus said I do not know you, which is different from I never knew you. This may suggest they had lost their fellowship with God.
They didn’t enter the feast I think is a signal of a poor judgment perhaps not all believers will enjoy the feast. They lost their position in the kingdom.

Sorry but you are way off base. Law and grace play no part in the parable. There was no grace until the gospel of grace preached by Paul came about. Eph 3:3 Jesus knew nothing of this event that was in the future. The meaning of the parable is very simple, and that is to be ready when he comes the 2ed time

  • @bozire
    @bozire ปีที่แล้ว +2

This is NOT the meaning of the parable. KNOW your Word, people. Read your OWN bibles, prayerfully. Too many false teachers are in the world, acting as if they know the truth, repeating what others say is the truth. Again, I tell you.... read....your...own....bibles....prayerfully. Also, hold on to your wallets and purses.

No that's not what it means the parable is about the Christian church not about the church and the unsaved. You are wrong brother. It talks about the those who are Christian who get left behind in the rapture. The oil for your lamps Christ is talking about is spiritual growth from reading the Bible and being spiritual Heathy. The oil for the lamps is repentance, prayer, reading the Bible, staying in church all that gives you oil for your lamps because God's Light is on the inside. Basically following the proverbs, Christ's teaching and living upright for the Kingdom of God.

I believe they were all part of the church since they all had lamps and were waiting for the bridegroom. The fact that 5 ran out of oil and 5 didn’t seems to speak to where their relationship was with Christ. Continue in me…Jesus said. Keep walking in Him…remain in Him. Many begin in Him but don’t maintain their walk and relationship. They run out of oil

The five foolish virgins knew about Jesus but never trusted Him alone for salvation, hence no oil (Holy Spirit)!
Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of "eternal life" to all who trust Him alone for salvation.
This means that saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ "alone" for salvation.

The end of the age is talking about age of old covenant - law which brings death. Everything in the Bibile is already fullfiled. We are now living under the grace and church is the spriritual Israel.
We are now living in the kingdom of God which is spiritual kingdom and which will last forever. Bear in mind that the first Adam was dead the moment he ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil even though the bible says Adam died at 930. The death was spiritual and in Christ when believer is born again it's the spirit that is born of the Holy Spirit and this is what is restored what first Adam lost. That is the reason Jesus told Nicodemus "you must be born again". Jesus is second Adam- Jesus restores what Adam lost for those who believe (1 Cor. 15:1-4 the gospel).
Then people read the book of Revelation they immediatly think of the end of the world and this is not biblical because nowhere in the book of Genessis it says that God will deystroy the earth which in fact opposite is true. I used to be dispensationalist but now it's so clear to me that the whole bible had been fullfiled and the judgement was for the ethnic Jews.

    • @likcre2688
      @likcre2688 3 ปีที่แล้ว

The Bible is being fulfilled as we speak, and the book of Revelation is about the revealing of Jesus; who He is, what He has done, and what He continues to do. Mainly His unique righteous character. We are not yet in the Kingdom of God, because it is through much tribulation that we must enter there. The Kingdom of God is a Kingdom of righteousness; not our own, but through Jesus Christ. There will be a new Heaven and a new earth, and this is after the process of refining/tribulation. The first Adam: God made them male and female and called their name Adam. There is a lot of prophecy in the book of Genesis - God gave the end from the beginning. The end is right there in Genesis but thats' discussion for another day. We are living at the very end of this age, and it is abvious now to many. The being born again in the spirit, is the catching away in the air. Air = spirit. Therefore, the Bible/word of God is still being fulfilled. A time is coming when there will be clarity. The end of the world is the end of the ways of the world which is sin/evil/wickedness.Friendship with the world/sin is enemity to God. Let us strive to live in obedience to God's will. We are saved by grace through faith and not our works, and we should honor God by keeping His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. The commandments are like GPS for us - a guide to our destination. The Holy Spirit helps us walk on that path. Don't feel offended for correcting you. We are all learning and sharing. Cheers!
