    my daughters derelization has been affecting her lately, she has ptsd from a past episode she had and she has been struggling very badly, she’s 13 years old. I’ve been pushing her to try to be stronger for herself and giving her all of the support she needs, and I’ve realized meditation has helped her so much. It completely masks her anxiety, and she’s able to feel at ease even if It’s for 5 minutes, I’m so grateful to have people like us in the comments to know that we are not alone. I pray my daughter will realize she isn’t either, and that this anxiety is curable.

      Sounds like she is doing a good job and has great support from you. If you haven't heard of it already, I just wanna mention MCT (metacognitive therapy) might be beneficial. It can help with anxiety/ptsd/depression/panic etc. It aims to help the person decrease worry and ruminative thinking to decrease anxiety and apprehension overall. There is a british webpage that lists all therapists in different countries that are certified in MCT. I found one for myself in my country. Just an idea. Regardless, wish you and your daughter all the best

    The fact that you have a clock in the background aduibly ticking is brilliant. I dont know if it was on purpose or not but it gives the person listening something real to focus on while you're talking, in case we cant hear anything where we are.

    Anxiety is like a weight on your shoulder and never goes away never stops being heavy but with meditation and patience anything can happen I've learned to accept my feelings me fears and let go and find some sort of of peace within myself and meditation and mindfulness has had a huge part in helping with that. I wish anyone reading this to have some peace and love and tranquility bestowed upon you and just know that you are okay and everything is gonna be okay and god loves you and so do I

    I have struggled with mental illness and my mental health since I was a kid. Before I even knew what those terms were. After years of depression, anxiety, and even an attempt to take my life, I never thought I would be able to live without psych medications. I clung to them because it was the only thing that made my mind quiet, but it also made me a zombie. Microdosing has given me control of my mental health for the first time, and they essentially gave me my life back.

    This meditation somehow made me more stressed ... Your voice is SO lovely and the instructions to observe your thoughts and let them pass are perfect, but somehow the repetition of "I'll deal with that later" ratcheted up my anxiety more! I was unable to stay in the present moment ... why so many times?

      I agree with this and such a harsh dismissal of it and re-enteeing back into the flow, not one example of dealing with it.

    • @birgip.m.1236
      @birgip.m.1236 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ditto.
      Same here.
      Maybe my body was already feeling churning inside & I wasn't aware of it til I was guided to notice it?
      And then paying attention to all the sounds around me upped my anxiety...
      I'm in my car parked in a garage outside the ymca after someone stole my shoes from the changeroom!
      So paying attention to the sounds of cars speeding by outside isn't helpful for me.
      The tweets of birds living in the garage is sweet tho. The parking garage isn't fully enclosed-- open on all sides- no full walls.
      Luckily I have my flip flops on (as I was in the pool area when my shoes were taken) to get home in.
      If I didn't have my flip flops I'd be stuck walking barefoot!!
      What eases my anxiety is the awareness that I'm not as bad off as whoever stole my shoes!! You have to be in a messed up state of mind to steal someone's shoes from the ymca changeroom!!
      Like what state of mind can someone be in to leave someone shoeless?! 😬
      And the fact that they were old shoes & not expensive helps!! 🙄

      @MargaretCormack 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Scarlet O´Hara said 'I´ll think about it - tomorrow'! The instructions to 'say' I´ll deal with it later do involve the necessity of active involvement, whether that is good or bad. I prefer just to ignore passing thoughts

    I’m going through it right now. I have constant fear of my heath and I know my triggers. This is helping right now. The feeling of not being able to breathe, about to pass out, dying, my wife can get me out of the sunken hole, and then the exhausting and releasing of the stress comes in waves. I have a very big imagination, so struggled to not have my mind wandering, but hopefully with practice I can refine this skill

    This is helping me very much. I’m going through a lot rn such as my dad talking bad about me to my little sister, him being bad to me years ago and now my brother, my step brother might be getting close with a girl I wasted my time trying to get with along with another girl I wasted time trying to get with years ago, and I’m finally playing most of a football game bc last year I barely played bc I was terrible. I got my kicking spot back now so that’s good but I tried to impress the gir I like and she didn’t even compliment me. I bet she complimented my brother and he also took her home that same night but this vid helped me so much. I’m gonna keep using this whenever I need it. Thank you very much for making this vid.

    Hmm...don't get comment about audio quality being poor...her every word was clear. A nice, simple meditation which anyone can fit into their day...her voice was calm, reassuring and very pleasant to listen to.
