Thank you that we are able to listen to these valuable discussions. They deepen my faith. I have a couple of books from Philip Yancey but listening to him and also to hear about his difficult childhood and then to hear him speak about his faith so alive is also so helpful. Thank you.
This is a wonderful interview, which cuts to the heart of deep and wide ranging questions regarding God and suffering, God and COVID19 and the relationship of God to today's power and politics. The answers range from from viewing God as a strong counterforce of negative issues, through to God's concern with human souls, and respect for the beauty of the world. The discussion closes with thoughts regarding how we can identify the very essence of our humanity in the 21st century. This is answered by an inspirational view of ourselves as 'pioneer settlers of the culture of God', which forms a very good conclusion to this excellent conversation. I enjoyed listening and watching this interview very much, so I recommend that you get yourself a cup of tea, pull up your favourite armchair, and watch the debate unfold between these two very wise and incredibly knowledgable speakers! Thank you for such an amazing interview and for putting together this whole series which asks such important questions in our 21st century world! Maria B
God showed what sort of God that HE IS by becoming a human being in Christ and dying by crucifixion by his own creation. Yes it was human pride and envy ,treachery and cowardice, cruelty and perjury, weakness and bigotry of human beings who all united to do away with Him. Yet , he was raised from the dead and forgave humanity and invited them to share His Own Divine Life of Joy and Peace. Repentance is a simple turning to God so He can transform us where all divisions of humanity find there true unity in Christ. Suffering makes a Christian stronger ! Drown a christian , and he will come up with a fish!
