Rishyap, or Rishop, is one of the finest hill stations in Kalimpong district in West Bengal. It is not only the best spot on the Lava-Loleygaon Rishop circuit but also the second-best destination for tourists after Darjeeling. Its scenic beauty is just awesome. Located at 8500 feet, it is also higher than Darjeeling. The weather at this small hill station is very pleasant throughout the year. But one can see the main attraction of this place, Kanchenjungha, only in winter or whenever the sky is clear. Apart from Kanchenjungha, one can explore the Tiffin Dara sunrise point, which is a small hilltop covered with dense forest. It is a 40-minute trekking route from the base to the hilltop. Viewing the sunrise from this place in clear weather is a lifetime experience for the viewers. People also gather here during sunset. Even if the weather is not clear enough, one can enjoy the 360-degree view of Rishyap from this place. Another place to explore is the famous pine forest of Rishyap. There are pine forests on both sides of the road. You can step down from your car and take a walk in the pine forest to explore its beauty.
