You spitting. I went back and watched a bunch of old Dashy snd challs from the b04 days and it was crazy seeing him play with and against all the newer players in the league constantly. Spart, Scrap, Prolute, Johnny, Mohak, Capsidal, etc. They’ve all been grinding challs for years before getting picked up. Then I hear the origin stories from you, Simp, Attach, ZooMaa, etc just a bunch of kids that were grinding since like 13. The landscape has changed a little bit in the change from cwl to cdl so it might be tougher to get in now but there should still be a plan. Sure shit can go wrong but shit can also go right. Dashy just said a couple weeks ago that he doesn’t think he’d be in the league if his chall duo and iLleY’s duo didn’t both stop playing going into IW and then 3 months in they picked up MC and now look at all of them. Honestly me just telling ppl to grind is pretty stupid bc life happens but I respect all those that do in any capacity. I’ll always respect Huke bc he respects grinders too

Tip: for those who are just starting out and are u18. Building your brand/name in the community is a big deal this can be done by just posting 30 seseconds to 1min vods from scrims, GBs even pubs on the TL. Having a youtube channel also 100% works as you can properly post your gameplay. since I was 14 (now 17) been posting content on my youtube channel (not this one) and my twitter to build my brand up and certainly has paid off with the amount of qulaity team offers i've recieved. GL, hope this works.

I never knew about Gbs. I started during Covid Barely got into the comp scene. Started with a top 70 gb team during mw and worked up to a top 2 team. Started wagers this year & won tourneys made around 4-5 grand off cod in about 6 months. It would’ve been dope if I started playing when I was 16 but fuck it ima still try. Need to network
You deadass should start an 8s vc in your cord that people could grind in! There’s a lot of 8’s cords but I haven’t really seen a pro have an 8s channel in their cord. Even if you don’t host any or stream any it would be dope to see

I feel like a lot of people can go pro is just the fact a lot people don’t have the passion, confidence, or the mindset to do so. Plus I need for information how to play competitive online, GBs, call of duty agents, and check mate gaming. So far as I know. Hard to find to grind with honestly as well.
This is what i say about Combat Sports or Boxing. I grew up playing sports & when i was 22 couple years ago, i was being asked by a Local Boxing coach to come train and fight amateur-ly & eventually pro. But i understood that, justt like I have been playing sports since 6 y.o, the boxers that arent Top tier but are probably amateurs have been boxing since young age as well. Ppl dont understand, they think bc they hear a story ab Ngannou or someone like that, they have a chance but thats un-realistic. Abezy started playing pro in 2020 but he was already in the LAN mix Well said🤙🏾
I’m 21 rn and I remember being 10-13 years old on mw3 dropping Moab’s on older people then me calling me whatever, I still got the game played saved. But I still have the dream of becoming a pro player. I know I have what it takes but it’s just practice of getting to know the maps. I haven’t given up and hopefully soon everyone will see. This makes me wanna pick up the sticks again for MW2. I played ghosts 8s with the eXs circle at 12 years old. (CaLiFa and co.) They were all telling me how I just have to keep grinding, because i exhibited raw skill/slaying power that was competent at the pro level. Then, in AW, I moved onto a circle closer to me. It was the ETG Lan circle. That consisted of players like Simp himself. I played 8s every day with simp and that circle. Then, BO3 comes along. I switched to SnD. I moved down in social, but certainly leveled up my game. I started playing with a few kids, one of them being SirScrappy. Then, IW came along. Where basically everyone I knew went pro. I played $8s with like Standy, Capsidal, PaulEhx, etc. etc. I played with against like Jintroid and solar a bunch, and met one of their friends Jinx. My network was really coming along, and then my legendary twitter got banned (@5onar, shoutout if you followed.) This ended up making me put the sticks down, because I lost my entire network. Being as good of a person, as you are a player, is ESSENTIAL in making it in any scene. Thanks for this story, it motivated me.
Also FeLo used to swat people and KiSMeT DDoSS'd me every single time i played him in IW. I would get 5 rounds and then my internet would shit the sheets.
My brother said it wouldn't be a bad move to take the bus around the city for LAN events. He used to take it to school/work before he got his car (i'm talking abt actual buses that go through the city obviously) but then I remembered about franchising and how unlikely it is that there'd be a nearby lan event, much less close enough from where I'm at.
Some of us even though we've been playing since the Sega Genesis and the PlayStation 1, Didn't have internet growing up for one reason or the other. Only ever playing the campaigns or mostly sports games. I'm 26 and didn't even know what gamebattles was until two years ago. I'd like to think if my parents wasn't dopeheads, I'd have the same opportunitys as most CDL players. I've been paying online since MW2019 and am constantly on the top of the scoreboards. Always thought about / wanted too play professionally.

Cod is the easier game to play, and therefore the difference between a pro player and a challenger’s player is small but that small difference is one being a pro and one not, every body in challengers and in the pro league can shoot straight, hell we saw warzone kids shitting on pros in 1s. It’s all the little shit that makes you some scrub grinding $1 gb wagers vs Donny temp walking on main stage with his music videos up. You have to be a smart player who can communicate. Cod is a game of positioning mostly, not a game of raw gunskill, unless you’re shooting straight like dashy or have the cracked movement of hydra none of y’all gonna make it, there are hundreds of people in challengers who shoot straighter then you and they ain’t even close to making it, so what makes you special?
You wanna know the difference? the difference is the mentality aspect of it and the patience, the vision and the knowledge and knowing when to take opportunities is what makes someone standout from the rest
