    Gigantic thumbs up. I found it thanks to you. 20,000 miles so it’s time to change that bad boy. And now… Thanks to you again and your good trick… Piece of cake. I was in there looking around and didn’t see the little trap door. I’ll find it this time. For sure. Did I say excellent video yet? Excellent video! Thanks, Johnny truth

      Thank you so much for the great comment. I really appreciate it. I was in the same situation, trying to figure it out, but couldn't find anything at all. I figured it out by myself and wanted to share my experience on my channel. It's not a suggestion or an official video. Thanks again.

      Good luck “changing”. Ford doesn’t ship the vehicle with a filter to begin with.

    I watch Scotty Kilmers channel, who has shown how to change those filters thru the glove box on many cars. I found that my Transit isn't like that after I bought a filter. I'm gonna attempt to change it now. If I can do it, you will have saved me some cash!! Tks for making/posting the video. PS, the owners manual says to get it replaced at a dealer--Thanks FORD!!!!

      Hello. thanks for the comment. I'm sharing my experience on my channel. As it states in video discription, this is not a suggestion or an official ford video. I took my risk and did it myself. I don't recommend it and highly suggest you to have it done in a dealer.
      Enjoy your day! and thanks for stopping by

    so im guessing with 2109 and up they are now doing the cabin filters in the glove boxes instead of under the hood ?

    I'll have to check that out if I can do it. I literally couldn't find it. This car is so freaking weird. I can't even change the battery on it bc someone decided to place it under the dashboard. I couldn't even take out the glove box bc it doesn't seem as if you can disconnect it.

      I totally agree with you about the car. But fyi, this is just a post of my experince on my youtube channel.👍 not a suggestion of official video.

    I have a 2019 Transit and my cabin air filter is not in that location. Mine is directly behind the glove box. No tools needed.

    TY for the video. these newer Fords are FKG awful vehicles. I regret buying my 2017 Transit Connect. it is a POS.

    How did you take off the pins? Did you have to disconnect anything else to get to the filter?

    • @mkaratas83
      @mkaratas83  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Joe. If you're talking about pins for the cover, just the related part in the video. For the filter question, once you remove the filter cover out, just pull the filter and take it out from the slot.
      Hope this helps.
      Cheers!

      @@mkaratas83 I got the plastic pins and the cover off. But now I see a huge control panel there. I could pull out the old filter, but how do I get the new one in? Do I just bend it and squeeze it in, possibly damaging it? Or take out the entire fuse box to be able to slide it in?

    • @mkaratas83
      @mkaratas83  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Jose-sy1je just bend it in the middle, squeeze and put it in the same way you took the old one out . I showed how I did it in the video.

      @@mkaratas83 Hope it doesn't break 😕 If you ever change other things on the Transit Connect like the engine air filter I'd like to see. Not too many videos out there on this car

    • @mkaratas83
      @mkaratas83  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Jose-sy1je unfortunately, I don't drive this car any more. If your talking about the filter, it's not something that u can break easily. It's a kind of soft filter, easy to bend and squeeze. But don't make it too hard, as I am not next to you and able to watch what you're doing, it's always good to be safe than sorry👍 also, this is just a video that i share my experience and post it on my channel. It's not a suggestion or official video at all.
