Your right Jim after all these years and all these coaches and playoff losses the common denominator is Jerry Jones keeps doing things his way. He wants to win his way. He can't just be the owner like on other teams he has to be the GM too. At this point Jerry should just coach the team maybe then they'll get over that hump.

The worst life advice jerry jones ever received is when his former arkansas head coach frank broyles gave him the advice of being the gm of team along with being the owner. Frank Broyles had to have been drunk when he gave Jerry jones that advice.
Jim - a C-boy follower (fan) since 1965. I am not surprised at all. I thought Mike Lombardi was correct. JJ actually is not much of a risk taker. Next year if the C-boys lose, JJ's mentality will be - continue doing the same thing - but the problem will be Mike McCarthy's contract will come to an end.

I don’t understand how the Jim Rome show declined so much
The person that needs to be fired on the Cowboys is Jerry Jones as long as he's there no coach like a Jim harbaugh or a belichick will come and coach so it doesn't matter if Mike McCarthy comes or goes or Dak Prescott comes or goes it doesn't really matter. The only way that we'll have a chance of going to a super bowl or competing for one is if Jerry Jones sells the team or Jerry Jones passes away so my only question is how's Jerry's health?
And they actually got worse this year not better because look at the teams they beat up on All of them were terrible teams All the teams that had winning records or were good or very good they got beat down by they actually should have lost that game till the Lions.

I was wrong, because I forgot they last won the Super Bowl during the 1995 season. So it's been 28 seasons without playing in the Super Bowl.

2024 is the last year that they are tied to Dak, why not keep Big Mike around for one more year? They will be able to hit the rest button if next year is another playoff $hit show, new coach and a new qb, probably one like Justin Fields if they can find one for a 1st or 2nd rounder. They wont be able to get one via draft winning 12 games a year.
As a Cowboys fan and maybe a crazy Cowboys fan I want everybody back next year. This playoffs had to be a fluke, right? 😅😅😅
Dak is the problem
My favorite part is while they are choking, we get all those amazing shots of Dak with his "deer in the headlights" eyes with his mouth hanging open. And then the camera switches to greasy McCarthy where it seems his lazy eye gets worse with every bad play. It's a comedy.
This means JerryWorld will also keep Dak & resigning Dak will depleat the O & the D in Big D.
