so I will admit that my favorite PS material is all the early stuff (84-87). that being said, I do love and appreciate their whole catalogue. I keep seeing comments from folks saying "oh man this is before they became shit". I'm curious, what is it about their later output that turns so many of you off? I'm not being confrontational, I'm just really interested in hearing about when people felt like they went off.
Timothy McPherrin the thing is that their 2 first records are so different from the sound you hear in screamadelica, Jim Beattie is an underrated guitarist, sonic flower groove is a masterpiece of pop, you can hear the byrds vibe on it so, I think that's way The purists (I'm with them) consider their remix/electronic Era nothing but out of place stuff. cheers man.
