    Glad that SPF is still included in the Guard of Honour contingents despite the new SAF DIS.

    The Military Mobile Column is supposed to be the highlights of every NDP but this year it appears toned down.

      Military mobile column was never meant to be the highlights of every NDP, but rather it is meant to be a part of NDP. Back during the old Singapore stadium era, military mobile columns were also never presented, but rather military marches.

    Should have a more serious parade to mark independence. They should do something like the UK's "Trooping the Colour", not like the Arty-Farty crap we have been used to.

    • @rexang99
      @rexang99 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The point of independence day in Singapore is to showcase to everyone the freedom, talents, the military might and how far Singapore has come as a nation and as a society. Singapore is not just about the military, but the people.

      @@rexang99 Independence Day is a serious thing, ah, and honestly, the parade should just focus on its Troops and the Mobile Column. Something like Kenya! th-cam.com/video/9JtVICtxdl8/w-d-xo.html

      @@youtubeaccount5738 Same like mobile columns, we have NS Parade and Total Defence Day for that.
      Independence day was never meant to be about the military, but a celebration of a country's independence. The whole idea of a military parade during an independence day originated from the the US in 1775, which even the US do not honour that tradition anymore, and has turn to focus on the American people.
      Unlike other countries which found a war to be independent, our country was kicked out by Malaysia due to the differences in values and societal differences. Thats why our NDP parade is more than just military, but how far Singapore has come as a society.

      @@rexang99 Honestly thought, it would be nicer to have some serious Military pomp and discipline instead of the Arty-Farty crap we have been receiving.

    Waste of taxpayers income one nuke from other nations the military stuffs will end in smokes

      Gee...go read more about geopolitics can? Even when USA dropped two atomic bombs on Japan, the debate on the necessity still raged on after these number of decades. Moreover, whoever drops a nuke on Singapore risks conflicts with neighbouring countries as well. There is simply no advantage dropping a nuke. If so, then Russia would have just dropped one on Ukraine long time ago.

    • @rexang99
      @rexang99 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Remember, if a common citizen knows about the threat of a nuke, so do the government. Singapore has been more than ready to defend should a "nuke" ever were to be a threat to Singapore. Our ground and air defences are more than ready for one. Furthermore, should a nuke ever hit Singapore, the blast radius will also affect Malaysia and even Indonesia, which means that we have our neighbours that will also participate in shooting down the nuke asap. Lastly, Singapore is littered with embassies everywhere, at least 73 of them. By destroying an embassy, it is considered an act of war against the country of the embassy. No country would be dumb enough to nuke Singapore and get 73 countries to eventually declare war on them.

    新加坡的步操的步伐太不自然,应该顺着每个人的标准步伐,不能太快也不能太
    慢,参考共产越南中国就了解,这里的步伐申张的太短如ladyboy 走路一样.
