Jabal Al Jais is the tallest mountain in the United Arab Emirates at about 1,910 meters (6,345 feet) above sea level, with its highest point about 350 meters east of the border between Oman and United Arab Emirates.
The Jabal Al Jais mountain cluster is situated around 25 kms from Ras Al Khaimah city and has significantly lower temperatures even during the peak summer months. It takes roughly 1hr from the city of Ras Al khaimah to the summit.
The mountain peak usually has a temperature gradient of 10-13 degree Celsius but temperatures as low as -3 degrees Celsius have been measured at the top of the mountain in winter.
